I am thoroughly disappointed in our dinner this evening. I write this as a former hotelier, along with my husband, who are highly familiar with Mina restaurants, having opened them with former Starwood (now Marriott) and Fairmont properties.
We were in Santa Monica for a trip and celebrating our 25th Wedding Anniversary. I made the reservation and let them know about our special anniversary well in advance. Nothing about this was special. No sense of arrival. Food was fair, and quite overpriced. Friendly but tone deaf service staff. No one recognized our anniversary and then came out with a birthday dessert on our way out. Not Mina level. Highly underwhelming and disappointing.

Everything was exceptional! Service top notch! Food was amazing! Flavors, presentation and ambience were out of this world spectacular! Highly recommend the lamb!
We had such a great experience that we came back again for brunch the next day! I forget the servers name we had for dinner but her name started with a “J” maybe Jennifer? But she was an amazing server!
We look forward to coming back again when in town!

We chose this place for a special occasion and were very pleased. The interior in a slightly segregated room provided a nice and very quiet space such that we in fact could engage in conversations. The staff was charming. And the food was delicious, maybe a touch on the salty side, but without any doubt masterfully composed.

Wow wow wow. Ive been a fan of Michael Mina for quite some time (the lobster pot pie in Vegas is one of my favorite dishes!!) So I was really excited to try his new restaurant in santa monica. And boy oh boy was it wonderful. My friend and I ordered a few things including the bread service, melon and hallumi salad, kattafi prawns, macaroni becomes and last but not least the spiced seabass. Everything was excellent, my favorite being the salad, fish and the bread service. The staff was so attentive and helpful in navigating some of my dietary restrictions. They even gave us some blankets because my friend and I were a bit chilly. I felt so welcome at this establishment.And I thoroughly enjoyed my meal.I will definitely be back!

Had a lovely time celebrating our 10th anniversary here. The menu had lots of vegetarian options for me and steak or fish options as well for my husband. Our waiter Ryan went above and beyond for us taking a photo of us out with a view of the pier. Will definitely be back as the food was incredible, so was the entertainment, cocktails and service.

We had dinner there while in town for a wedding, and the entire experience was absolutely lovely! The food was absolutely delicious and the cocktails had a beautiful presentation! Our entire wait staff were attentive and helpful! The views from the covered patio of the ocean, pool, and Santa Monica pier were stunning. Highly recommend!

We dined at Orla in September 2025 and had a lovely meal. We started with the caviar service, which was delicious and paired well with the champagne we chose. For dinner we (my husband and I) shared the Kebab Platter and the Macaroni Béchamel. Everything was delicious. The macaroni dish was EXCEPTIONAL and I am still thinking about it. We plan to visit Las Vegas next year and I want to eat at the Orla there, just so I can have that macaroni dish again. We sat outside on the patio and had a lovely view of the beach. Ryan was our waiter. He was friendly, helpful, and provided great service. If we are ever back in Santa Monica again, we will definitely dine at Orla again.
