PLEASE REOPEN IM SO UPSET:((The interior of this place is amazing and so is the food. Places like this are rare and they are all gradually shutting down. La will soon be a city of sterile modern buildings serving coffee with almond milk. Please save this place.

Place used to be a rail car so it's small but its quaint and the service is literally top notch. They really make you feel like family here and I love it. PLUS the food is also amazing.

terrible food, I had a burger with the chili lime fries and it was very disappointing.
The owner responded to my review from when I dined there last year with a lie claiming I asked to use the restroom without dining there, so i’m updating the review now. I have the credit card charge to show that I dined there. I can’t imagine how insane the owner must be to lie like this on reviews regularly. No wonder it’s closed, hope it stays that way if this is how they act. Stay away.
Attached a photo I took from inside while I was dining so that this crazy owner has to own up to their lies. Also attached their accusation.
loved this place
I came here from Japan for the first time and was looking for a place to eat and found this place.
The store looked very interesting, but when I approached it, I was disappointed to find that it was closed.
The exterior alone is unique, with artwork scattered throughout,
I took a lot of photos.
We hope that it will open again.
Forget it , their closed
I was so excited to introduce one of my favorite places to a friend of mine. I was devastated to find it had closed. I hope they reopen, even in another location. Even the side salad was fantastic. Spicy hot chocolate, the pies, soups… the staff was always amazing. I hope the fates align to reopen.

Over-priced food, the place is very dirty. Everything is better at Mel's Diner 5 minutes away. Location is the only reason this place has customers.
EDIT: Thanks for reaching out. Please go ahead and notify Google if you feel I am not being truthful. I have recipes from eating here, I have pictures that are geo-tagged with dates & location AND..............
I cycle past this place almost daily because I live in the canyon.
The best part is, Google already knows all of this information (I also have a google pixel phone)!!!
The reason the place is closed is exactly because of the reasons I mentioned above, place was always dirty, overpriced, and the food was just ok.
I am just getting around to writing this review because I received a notification from Google to review this place since I have been here several times since the new year. I live up the street and once I read the place was closing down, I didn't think to myself: let me write something immediately. My initial reaction was: cool, hopefully the new restaurant is better and I'll want to walk here more often. It was Google that reminded me to share an opinion, this was my experience every time I ate here.
I'll check out the new place once it opens, no old reviews will be taken down. Only new reviews for the new place, that is fair.

We wanted to try it but couldn’t figure out how. The phone doesn’t have an answering machine. We couldn’t figure out where to park. It didn’t appear to have customers. I’m not sure why it is listed here.

Is closet
Because metrics are measured by stars, I want to give Patrick's 5. However, the doors were closed during their "open" hours as listed online. This proved to be devastatingly disappointing for my family, having traveled from East Tennessee to take in the atmosphere and dining at this historic dive. For future adventurers, I ask the current management to please update the online information.
