By far one of the best burger places I've experienced in my last 10 years, in Santa Monica, LA, CO to east coast. Fresh quality meat, veggies, the menu is far too impressive... you'll have to have the pleasure to find out yourselves! Please do yourself a favor and check out the wonderful place, that if known--ya know! The hidden gem of Santa Monica that is Pono Burger. Perfect for families & great for individuals and everything in between as long as you want a great burger, the also have arguably the best happy hour I'm aware of. Thank you Jacq for above and beyond service, compassion, and authenticity-- thank you Marlon for the best burger (& I thought I'd found it before..) you sir, are a master of the craft with a great passion. Thank you to all of the amazing team that make this Oasis possible! I'll see you soon! Such a neat space.

Cute cafe with horrible burgers. I was the first time there and asked for something interesting - they gave me a tiny burger with good sauce but overcooked and not seasoned patty. All that with NO drinks and sides was $17.5. Sad but true. Will never come back

The burgers are massive here, seriously a full meal! But don't skip the shoestring fries or the beer selection, both of which are excellent. I'm definitely planning a return trip for happy hour to work my way through the rest of the burger menu.

Cute little burger place with awesome Hawaiian inspired and smoky flavors. The burger with guava rum jam was awesome, but we especially loved the crispy miso brussel sprouts and onion rings. We got 2 burgers and 2 sides to share and were very full. Prices are normal for downtown SM, and the flavors packed a big punch!

The food is just ok. The chicken is tough so I don’t recommend that. Happy hour is good and helpful when you have kids. The burgers a the best thing they have. Atmosphere is cute. Staff is friendly but not speedy.

We went there in an evening of June, 2015 (too long ago), while we were visiting Santa Monica, as part of our US West Coast route. The food was fine, but the waiters service could have been more friendly. The place is very cool. Keep in mind it is quite far from the Santa Monica pier.

The atmosphere at Pono Burger is relaxed and welcoming, the kind of place you actually want to spend time at. What really stood out, though, was the customer service — Caroline and Jacqueline were incredible. Their energy and kindness made the whole experience that much better, and it honestly amplified how good the food already was.
The burger was on point, and the sweet potato fries with the sauce hit the spot perfectly. Everything just came together — great vibe, great people, and great food. Definitely a place worth coming back to.
At first sight it looks a bit disappointing, but it's not! The food is great, so is the service. The chicken wrap is to die for! Definitely worths a visit!
