My husband and I have been enjoying the best quality & freshest seafood at the Santa Monica Seafood Market & Cafe for over a decade or so . Whenever we feel like having seafood the only place that comes to mind is this establishment . The best oysters , and the Cioppino is superb !!!
The Crab Louie salad is divine. One of the best fish and chips in town . For your next seafood outing make reservations and go to the Santa Monica Seafood Market & Cafe !!!

It’s hard for me to give a 5 star review however I had the Tuna poke , Salmon poke and aguachile shrimp. And prices even though feels expensive, are spot-on. Everything is there quality and price. The vibe is a plus. As said before… 5 stars.

All the fish looked super fresh and delicious. There’s a counter for raw fish and a restaurant where you can dine in or order to go. Great experience overall.

Used to be great. Went seriously downhill. Rude staff. No wild caught salmon. Unpleasant experience now when it used to be fun coming here. New management maybe? Since there’s other places around. Will not be returning.

WHY did we wait so long to get in here? What a plethora of fresh crustations and seafood! Danny was beyond friendly and informative! We are so excited about grilling this evening. We are definitely going to keep going to the Santa Monica Seafood Market to make up for lost time. 😄

Yall this place is GOOD. The Peruvian scallops were DELICIOUS, the Chilean sea bass was so crispy yet buttery and flaky and soft, the calamari was so lightly battered and crisp, and the stone crab claws were amazing with their sauce. My expectations were certainly exceeded. Service is excellent and I love the brightly lit natural lighting. 10/10 will be back.

My clients have been telling me to check this place out for a while and I had some extra time before work and I finally did. I love the environment; I feels like an intimate shopping and dining experience. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. The sea food is a bit on the pricey side. I am not such of a seafood fan myself but I will shop at this market as needed for my clients.
Also, I purchased in-house Pickled Ginger that was priced at $.50/ 2oz however the jar was 6oz for $6, I thought that was odd, of course I opted for the in-house.
Overall my shopping experience was great. I would certainly shop there again

I came here to buy some fresh fish and seafood, not to dine in. At checkout, I was surprised to see a tip option - this is not a restaurant, and no one prepared anything for me. When I selected “no tip,” the cashier turned away and ignored my “thank you” and “have a nice day.” That was extremely rude and disappointing. I came for good seafood, not for attitude.

Arrived on a Friday afternoon looking to have a lobster roll. There was a wait for a table seat but I opted to sit at their oyster bar. I asked a guy what he was having because it looked good. So I ordered the Wild Hawaiian Bigeye Tuna Poke Bowl. It is served with hawaiian dressing, sushi rice, avocado, sesame seed, tobiko caviar, and seaweed salad. It was delicious. They have other items I would definitely come back to try. They have parking in the back and metered parking. The place is organized kept up. My first time here and I will definitely be back.

Exceptional experience. My wife and I stopped here during a visit to Santa Monica. Everything was quite memorable. Best Clam chowder I’ve ever had and I had a couple different varieties during my visit. The “Peruvian Purple Scallop” was the best presentation and flavor I’ve ever had with a scallop. I could have eaten a whole plate of them. I would go back just for that.

If you like seafood, definitely stop by Santa Monica Seafood in Santa Monica. I recommend the lobster roll and clam chowder; however, the menu is loaded with a variety of other dishes to choose from. Prices are reasonable, and it's always very busy when I go. That's a good thing!
