Wow I understand why this is LA’s #1 sushi spot. I highly recommend getting the omakase it was Michelin Star worthy!
WOW! I was absolutely blown away by the 7 course Omakase dinner. Very fresh fish and ingredients, so much flavor in each dish. The food is just as good as you’d get in Japan, and the tiny/intimate setting reminds me of how the restaurants are in Tokyo. I felt like I was briefly transported back to Japan! Very special shoutout to the wagyu beef course- it actually melted in my mouth! My only “complaint” is that I wish the chefs explained how to go about eating some of the courses, but they were ready to help when we did ask. I would definitely recommend coming here, it’s such a cute date night gem.
Oishi! Great Nigiri and service.
This was an amazing experience! We had the omakase, which was prepared meticulously. Each bite was a revelation. We paired it with a Japanese whiskey flight which I highly recommend. Make a reservation to ensure that you can sit at the counter and get to witness the sushi chefs in action. Highly recommend!
Sunday brunch was amazing. the smoked salmon eggs Benedict were some of the best we have ever had. the location is ideal definitely get an ocean facing room. The staff catered our every need. We haven't even checked out yet and I believe we're about to book our next stay.
We tried the Omakase which was an amazing experience. Soko Sushi is located within the Fairmont Miramar and Chef Masa is very personable and creates the most creative and authentic dishes. The bluefin platter really hit the spot. Will be back.
I was really excited to have some really good sushi and it did not disappoint! We had the 12 piece nigiri and omakase menus. The fish was fresh and delicious and the seasoning was on point, the rice was the best I've had! Omakase had a good flow and looked beautiful and delicious. Both the chefs and host were really nice and I had a lot of fun watching the chefs craft the meals in this cozy spot
Incredible artistry and very nice service

Some high quality sushi, but highly influenced by the other guests in there since it is so small. Given that it is in the Fairmont, that can be a crapshoot (like the day we went where two of the female guests were a bit tipsy, super ornery, and loud - overshadowing our experience).

In August of 2023 we stayed at the Fairmont in SANTA Monica and paid a bit over $1000. Per night. I’m a world traveler. I stay in the very best hotels and this one is my only total disappointment.
The sushi is delicious, but everything is spoiled by the atmosphere and service, not only is there so little space, but even with these 5-7 guests the waiters manage to make mistakes and not fulfill orders correctly. I've been to this place twice, both times my bill per person was about $250Yesterday was my last visit there - I really don’t like it when they bring you the bill if you didn’t ask, and what’s more, there are dishes on the bill that were never brought to you. I'm sure there are better places in LA at this price.

Very overpriced for some good but not life changing sushi. My biggest complaint was the extremely awkward wait staff. They should be a lot more polished for $200 per person. Also, being sort of shoved into the corner of the hotel leaves the atmosphere a bit wanting.

Great small and delicious Japanese Restaurant in the corner of the Fairmont Hotel! The most amazing and fresh fish. Under your eyes rolled sushi and brilliant side dishes, like miso soup, edamame and Japanese appetizers. A place to go and recommend to everybody.
