My friend took me to the cutest musubi shop after our Pilates class! I asked the guy working there and who was Japanese which one he recommended and I ended up trying the miso beef and the curry pork musubi. Both were so delicious and of course I saw the lychee oolong boba tea so I had to try that too. The staff are super friendly service was quick and the food was yummy! I’m definitely recommending this spot to more people and can’t wait to come back!

Had high hopes for this place, I mean rice balls at the beach sounds great but it didn’t meet expectations. First time I ever wanted to ask for a refund because I just got a plain ball of rice. Barely had any filling and they were super small. Wouldn’t ever go again just lesson learned and it was pricey for a small clump of rice crazy. Service was great the workers were very friendly and nice!

I have never had an issue with quality of food from Sunny Blue until this evening (6/27). While I was eating the Jagamama potato salad I got as takeout, I chewed on a piece of a pebble. My tooth looks ok but it could have been bad (i.e. broken crown). Please check your potato salads for debris. :(

Expect a line out the door, but it's worth it! The rice, meat, and seafood are super fresh, and you can choose from a wide selection of proteins. Orders are made fresh, so expect a wait as this place can get crowded. However, it's worth it for some of the freshest omusubi I've had such as salmon, Chicken,shrimp and pork . The staff are knowledgeable and will help you make your selection.

This is what Asian mama makes for kidds ‘s school picnic . ‘Sunny blue ‘brings my child memories . Where else can we eat quick lunch for $7-$20 these days . They make your hand rolls so fast , Ali would be proud, Santa Monica . Ps, Don’t be shy ,,, I devour em just outside of their door. No seating ! No big deal ! This place constantly messing up with orders, either forget something to put in the order or forget to charge one of the items on order! Moreover no seating or standing places to eat inside or outside, don’t allow to eat inside! Staff told me there’s sitting place outside which is (haha!) window of the neighbour’s cafe and not safe road parking area! No chair/no standing table! I said that’s not place to eat, but they kicked me out from inside-a client,who was a regular client,moreover pregnant woman, shame on you!! Better be more attentive when taking the orders,rather than kicking out your clients!!! ?????

If you’re in need of a quick, tasty and filling snack, this is your place. They have several vegan options and I tried them all. I quite enjoyed the Eggplant Chili Miso option. The shop itself is quite tiny with not much space to eat, so expect to take your food to go. Other than that, I would certainly make a return trip.
