I’m sad to see this place fall due to evolution, but a $50 cover charge with a 2 drink minimum all for a house party vibe and early 2000’s music isn’t worth the hype. Used to wait in the 2 hr line to get in, which was more worth its while.
Edit: There’s no cover charge before 9-9:30pm for anyone hoping to get in free! Have visited since the new rules, and yes it’s less busy, but the same kind of crowd and energy, so I’ll be planning accordingly for my next visit. :D

The bartenders didn’t seem to be the nicest when we went, but it’s a fun environment with a homey inside section and games like pool and ping pong as well. The drinks were also very good. Fun place to go for a night out!

The hotel is great, this place was very disappointing. We are visiting for a week staying at the hotel. My wife hurt her ankle walking today and was limping because of it. We walked past the first two bouncers without a problem when all of a sudden some bouncer walkers up and said she was too drunk to come in lol. We tried to explain she hadn’t been drinking but he just ignored us so we left and went and drank at FIG. Still disappointed but they deserve the 1 star for thinking they know all no questions asked…

Had a great time — bartenders and servers uniformly friendly. Quieter than my first visit in 2021. A guest gave us a drink ticket they didn't use; ended up giving it to somebody else. Would come back!

I used to enjoy coming here until recently they have this policy you must make a reservation with a 2 drink minimum ($50 spending) I don’t know how else to say it but it really kills the spontaneity of winding up at a bar in Santa Monica and spending hard earned cash to have the best night of your life. Now I have to make a reservation for a drunken endeavor. Never coming here again. #Bringbackoldbungalow

Overall: 8/10 On the day I went, a reservation was required with a minimum spend of $50 per person. That included two drinks — and that was it. Some of the bartenders had poor service, but overall it was still a decent experience.
