The Misfit Bar & Restaurant

May have gone on an off night, but it seems a bit overhyped, especially for its location.

The Misfit Bar & Restaurant is one of our favorite go-to hangout spots in Santa Monica.
It offers a vibrant atmosphere that's perfect for a lively evening out with friends or co-workers. The drinks are consistently top-notch — creative, well-balanced, and expertly crafted. The food holds its own too, with delicious flavors and great presentation, though the menu is somewhat limited in variety.

If you're looking for a quiet, intimate setting, just note that it can get a bit noisy during peak hours — but the energy and charm of the place more than make up for it. A solid choice for a fun night out!

The Misfit blew my expectations away, from the ambience and service to the food itself! I loved the coziness of the half booths on the opposite wall from the bar where my small group gathered. The entire building has an art deco vibe that extends into the 2nd floor where the bathrooms are located. Their use of mirrors to extend the warm lighting is ingenious! I also love how ornate and beautiful the bar and walls are throughout, with bottles and drawers and books stacked to the ceiling.

I ordered the Pan Roasted Cauliflower and loved that is was crispy and well seasoned. The green tahini sauce is bomb and the pomegranate and olives surprisingly compliments the other flavors and textures super well. The pita bread on the side was perfect for soaking up the remaining sauce and bits on the plate.

Highly recommend this place for a date night, followed by free west coast swing dance classes on 3rd street every Tuesday at 7pm!

Great food

Very cool restaurant/bar with delicious food.
We ate salad and drank lemonade here. Highly recommended, it was also very quick.
However, we weren't asked if we wanted any more drinks, but were given the receipt straight away...

The food was not good. I couldn't see anything on the menu that looked enticing but settled for the ceviche. It was pretty boring, marinade was not good, and the whole thing tasted, one note, like low quality lime. They should rework their menu to be more cohesive and then it would probably improve their kitchen workflow as well. Would not come back for food here.

Atmosphere was very unique and chic, which matched the ambience of the menu. The food tasted good, but wasn't spectacular compared to the cost. Next time, I will likely just stick with their unique cocktails and skip on their food.

Fast kitchen works very well for families, farm to table vegetable dishes are very special there, good classic cocktails and nice ambience

So good! I am Celiac and they were able to replace buns on chicken sandwich and smash burger with gluten free toast. Dedicated frier and gluten free breading so the fried chicken and fries were great! The drinks were amazing too!!

The best salmon I've ever eaten (I would like to point out that I often eat it in restaurants and this one was the best one) ! The vegetables were perfectly matched to the fish. Prices are really fine, interior of the restaurant is beautiful. For sure I will come back someday
