This was our first visit to The Penthouse. I surprised my wife with lunch reservations for her birthday. From the moment we step off the elevator until the moment we exited, everything was superb. The staff was attentive but not intrusive. The food was delicious and well presented. We started with the calamari and ended with cream brûlée. Did I mention the view was absolutely spectacular. We will certainly be adding The Penthouse to our dining rotation.

I was excited to go to the Penthouse since I haven't been there since the update years ago. The experience was mixed, with an exciting decor and amazing service at every level. However, the food was disappointing. The $10 bead basket was weak and not fresh. My scallops were tasteless and the accompanying components were bitter and didn't pair well. The duck was extremely fatty and the flavors were very strange (tasted like persimmon and fruit). The salad was fresh but drenched in dressing. I may come back for a meeting place but not for the dining experience. The price range was approx $100 per person with a few glasses of wine and without tip. Sorry chef, do better.

I want to preface this by saying, everything that The Penthouse had control over was wonderful. We came for our anniversary dinner but unfortunately it was disrupted by an entire wedding party that decided they were having their after party at The Penthouse. The wedding party was so incredibly loud, some guests were rude, and none of them had any awareness or respect for people who were actually trying to enjoy their dinner. Our server Huntress (I think that's her name, if not, apologies) was so attentive, sweet, and was extremely accommodating when we asked to move because of rude wedding guests literally blocking our table. The gentleman who also boxed up our food was so personable and helpful. I didn't catch his name but he said he's worked there for the last 12 years so kudos to him! The manager also did a wonderful job managing the crowd of people and letting them know to be respectful of those having dinner around them. The second he say them with their backs up against the tables he immediately came out and corraled them closer to the bar. The food was incredible and the service was 10/10. Last time we came here was 10 years ago and everything is still amazing. Highly recommend coming for a cute date night or fun brunch with a view!

This dinner ranks among the top eating experiences. We arrived in time to see the sunset from an eagle's view of the ocean. Our server, Michael Flanagan, was a top notch guide to our amazing dinner, attending to our every need without being overbearing or hovering. The dinner started off with a complimentary amuse-bouche which was delicious. Highlights of the meal were the tuna tartare, shrimp ceviche, filet mignon, sea bass, and the must-have of the night, the truffle, lobster macaroni and cheese. The well-crafted cocktails, the delicious meal, the perfect live entertainment, and the superb service made this a night to remember.
