this is a great, casual place. there was tons of seating available in doors and outdoors on a beautiful weekend day during lunchtime. the prices are great and the bento box was such a slay. loved and will def be back. really enjoyed sitting on the patio on main street.

Excellent, very fresh sushi. Attentive service, even for a guy waiting for take-out. Try the 911 Tuna and the one with smoked salmon.

I have been visiting this location for many years, and I have failed to leave a review. Today I promised myself I would review this delicious Sushi Restaurant. My sushi chef Kai recommended the sashimi plate, which he artfully decorated with edible flowers , leaves and different types of sauce. The dish was absolutely amazing. I have been eating sushi for a very long time I have learned to appreciate the best and extras. For dessert I had the Unagi, which is ill with light Unagi sauce also extremely delicious and the portions were nice as you can see in the picture. My servers name was Kamari. She was extremely helpful and cognizant of anything I needed without me asking like extra napkins and refills on my hot green tea. As I have been, I will be coming back here as long as they’re open. I highly recommend it.

Went for dinner. Honestly disappointing, even though the place got a pretty good review. Just high price for ordinary sushi.Maybe it's because of the location, but it was a shame since it's called Tsukiji, an area in Japan famous for sushi.Service was average.I don't think I'll go back.

A New York-transplant friend took me on a tour on foot from Santa Monica to Venice Beach when we decided to stop for a bite. I had a hankering for sashimi and we discovered Tsukiji Sushi Sen on Venice Boulevard. We ordered 2 cold beers, I ordered the Sashimi Salad and my friend Tempura. First, the Asahi had a nice head on it. Second, famished, I dug into the big Sashimi Salad when it arrived. With layers of different flavored ingredients that complemented each other, including a huge amount of assorted, great tasting, fresh sashimi, I savored every bite. My friend also said his tempura was the best he's ever had. If you're ever in the area, go for it!

The food was good - fresh ingredients, fairly traditional. Unfortunately costly... bento combo below was $30+ Their outdoor patio is quite nice though. Fair sushi in Santa Monica.
