Best gelato+customer service at Ugo this weekđ€ Gaby greeted me with such warm, positive energy and made my visit so enjoyable. She recommended the chocolate gelato and topped it with a wafer that made it look absolutely beautiful. I was so excited to dig in! Definitely coming back for both the gelato and the incredible customer service.

Beautiful cafe in downtown Santa Monica. Food was light and fresh. Louis was very accommodating and made great coffee. If youâre Australian and missing coffee from home. I highly recommend this place to get your coffee fix.

Ugo Coffee pistachio latte was very disappointing. It didnât taste like real coffee at all â more like hot water with pistachio syrup. The flavor was weak and not balanced.
The service was also unpleasant. The woman working there was rude and did not speak politely with customers. Overall, not a good experience. I wouldnât recommend it.

I visited your Santa Monica location today and was extremely disappointed with the service. The male staff member, who had short hair around ear-length, and a female staff member were both very rude and unprofessional. Their attitude was disrespectful and made the entire experience very unpleasant.
I hope the management takes this seriously and addresses the behavior of these employees, as this kind of treatment is unacceptable

What this place really needs is a negative star. Thatâs how terrible it is. The worst part is there is no Manager or owner on the premises. I spent over two weeks, leaving messages for the owner to call me back & Only after insisting to the employee that I was not going to give up the owner, call me back (Actually, the ownerâs wife)
I have lived in this area for over 30 years & NEVER have I met such an unethical business establishment!
I paid $28 for what they call â Lobster ravioliâ Which did not have any lobster in it!
They use those artificial surimi stix which are primarily pollock & cornstarch, etc.
I know this for a fact because I am allergic to pollock & I had a bad reaction.
This is one time where the fact that they only give you four tiny ravioli worked in my favor. They are so cheap with their ingredients that there was hardly any filling at all âŠ.let alone, they were even being stingy with those cheap surimi Imitation lobster stix.! (as you can see in my photo)
The ownerâs wife was so rude. I was flabbergasted.! At least someone who has a professional role maintains some level of maturity & politeness to remain professional. I felt like I was talking to a six-year-old!
I would never ever recommend even an enemy to eat here because the ingredients are going to be a mystery. Even though the lobster ravioli technically does not list the ingredients & they are taking advantage of people. Seeing a menu item called lobster ravioli I assumed it would have real lobster in it for $28. Foolish me!
Eat here at your own risk & Know that there is no one who stands behind the integrity of quality or food you will consume.
Itâs a joke

The deserts were mediocre, none of the 6 people in our group (three kids, three adults) were impressed. The cannolis were filled with sweet cottage cheese cream, with no other filling options available. The eclairs were just okay. And the macarons were quite small.
Make sure to double-check your order and ask for a receipt. We were 100% sure we ordered 2 cappuccinos but they only made one, insisting that we had ordered and paid for just one.
We also asked for an empty cup but were told weâd have to pay for itđ.
