Great food, but unfortunately, the service is hit or miss. Ordered to go something to go, I see it’s ready sitting on the counter, but the representative just keeps ignoring me, continues wiping the clean plates. After I tried to get his attention a few times he said I’ll check give me a few minutes! Lol. The manager finally ask him to put it in a bag and give it to me.

The food here was Ok, but definitely not worth coming again! They are way better Italian restaurants that I’ve been too. Also, this location was absolutely terrible in terms of in-door space and table set-up. At one corner of the restaurant they set up 3 tiny tables side by side, maybe just 12 inch in between each table which made the entire experience very uncomfortable and unpleasant.Besides that, I ‘ve never been to a restaurant that only gives you forks on the tables and no knifes ??!!! Won’t come here again!

I usually don't write reviews but me and my significant other went to dinner this past Sunday now the food was amazing but our waiter gia was her name she came over and greeted us she was very short didn't seem like she wanted to be doing her job so at first I just figured maybe it's just a person having a bad day as we were sitting at the bar it came a parent that she was the person in charge that night and I am a manager and I know being a manager you are supposed to be warm and welcoming and she was the complete opposite so we end up ordering our food and getting our first course which was absolutely delicious so my significant other needed a refill mind you were sitting at the bar the first time I tried to get her attention she was on her phone mind you we could see her walking in and out on her phone from the back or out the front door the entire time so I became quite agitated when she walked by again I told her we needed a refill so after 10 minutes pass by still no refill and that would be completely understandable if they were super busy or she had been doing something else like I said I'm a manager I understand everybody gets busy but that wasn't the case and she was then on the other side of where the cooks are laughing with another waitress we assumed maybe she was getting the refill then but she proceeded to pull her phone out and walk into the back so we ended up having to ask somebody else a second time for the refill then when it came to the end of the night we wanted our check she just came over and put the check down and she just had a sense that we were bothering her by being there it made my significant other feel very uncomfortable long story short we would love to go there to eat again the food was amazing but the next time we go we hope to have a better experience with our waiter... The other employees were very vibrant and welcoming the lady at the door greeted us with a smile and even say goodbye when we walked out more than what we got from our waiter

Service was terrible. Food decent. They try to up sell you on their “tasting menu” and only allowed small substitutions creating confusion and leaving the customer unsatisfied. We weren’t asked if we wanted another drink or dessert before the bill is shoved in our faces. I felt a racial undertone with stares from servers as I ate. Server - white male named Sevrin I believe - was rude to me and the cooks.
Manager only approached my friend asking how their meal was, and completely ignored me - leaving me feeling disrespected and unwelcome.

Two very important issues that could affect your health when eating from UOVO.
1. If I were you, I wouldn't order food delivery from UOVO or eat there until the health and sanitation of your food are immediately addressed. This is coming from a food delivery driver. I’m specifically referring to the UOVO in Santa Monica, right next to HIHO. I’ve picked up from UOVO dozens of times over the past year, and the majority of the time, when I pick up your food orders, it is sitting on their shelf for 15 minutes or more before drivers receive the order from an employee of UOVO. I recognize many of the employees, and they recognize me as a driver, so I don’t understand why they let your orders sit on the shelf instead of giving them to us immediately when we arrive for pickup. They often just look at us and assist the customers there, completely forgetting about those who ordered their food. I believe all customers who dine-in or order out deserve the same level of service and courtesy.
2. As a driver for various delivery companies, I’ve witnessed many employees using the bathroom and barely or not even washing their hands before leaving. I’ve seen these same employees cleaning the bathrooms without gloves while wearing the same uniforms they use to prepare your food. Maybe this is why I’ve heard numerous stories of people getting sick over time. If you have ever felt unwell or had an upset stomach after eating from UOVO, now you know why. If this has happened to you or someone you know, you should probably contact the health department for immediate intervention.
As a very concerned driver, I personally thank you for reading this post because I see what you might not. Please stay healthy.

Why the ‘dark and damp bar’ decor? Your MDR location is so much more cheerful. Excellent truffle & butter as well as lasagne and crudo. Really wanted a glass of Prosecco but no bubbly offered.

The food was one of the best I have ever had- especially their truffle pasta. All dishes were amazing but that one was most delicious. Amazing across the board, from appetizer to dessert.
The restaurant itself was very aesthetic and relaxed while maintaining very notable elements of refinement. Food is prepared in front of customers - definitely adding to the experience!
Finally, my favorite part was definitely the service. Everyone was so nice, attentive, and fun to talk to. Any questions about how to eat dishes in the best way (ravioli with a spoon!) were answered in the best way.
I am definitely coming back every time that I am in LA! Highly recommend!
Parking: Parking was a bit tricky but I didn't mind walking through Santa Monica!

Soooo yummy!! You can really taste the fresh pasta difference They don’t take reservations but it wasn’t hard to get a table as they make the food & turnover tables pretty quickly.
