We highly recommend dining at Vito. We've been regular diners here for years and have always absolutely adored the intimate setting, the old school vibe, table side ceasar, delicious food, and great classic coctails. The restaurant was originally owned by a family for decades, they sold the restaurant to the most amazing new owners! The new owners kept the staff, the cooks, and the menu, but upgraded all the things that needed to upgraded. They are so sweet, warm, and friendly. We are so impressed with how the new owners made Vito that was already great, even better!

Very nice venue. Food was great but the service was a little slow. Busy place!

Ok, so this is hard to write, but here it goes. I have been going to this restaurant twice a month for twenty years. I live in the neighborhood and have loved, loved Vito. Usually I'm with my wife and I rarely make a reservation because they always recognize me and get me a table. Anyway, tonight I made a reservation because I had a friend to meet so we did. Usually I'm in a suit but today I was casual in a hoodie and sneakers. I was greeted by a waiter, who sent me to a maitre d I didn't recognize. She seated us at a booth in the back which was fine. Great dinner, exceptional service as always. After I got the bill I noticed I didn't get the VIP discount I have always gotten, so told the waiter to please revise it. It was then I was visited by the maitre d who started to question me about why I didn't have my VIP card, and a bit of innuendo as if I was not a regular. (I've never shown a card for twenty years as the older waiters know me, but they were not there) Pretty embarrassing in front of my friend. She is apparently a part owner, and she explained that people on Reddit or Yelp have advised others to just ask for the VIP discount. I sympathized with her and told her I would pay in full, if that's their new policy, but I have to say she seemed to doubt me, and it felt really awkward. In the end they gave me the discount. They made sure to say goodbye to me when I left and say my name. I think they probably feel bad about it, and I do sympathize with them with people trying to take advantage of what was a great gesture from the original owners to serve the neighborhood. (Shame on you Reddit and Yelp people!)I understand there was an ownership transition a year and a half ago, and kudos to them for making the transition seamless, I really mean it. But please figure out a way to revise your VIP discount policy and communicate it to your customers ahead of time so you don't put anyone in the position I was just in.

I always love dining at Vito. The food is delicious and the staff are outstanding!! Some of my favorite dishes are the Cesar Salad, Eggplant Parmigiana, Grilled Salmon and Fettuccini Bolognese. They also make excellent martinis!! I highly recommend you dine here. The value is great; you won't be disappointed!

Best Caesar salad in Los Angeles in my honest opinion. They make the dressing right there at the table for you. And speaking of the atmosphere it’s old world, charm, and aesthetic. That makes it an extra treat when you dine in.

The waiters are old-school as well dressed in ties and aprons. They also have a back patio they added post Covid. That’s a nice addition to the restaurant.

Every dish I’ve had here has been excellent and highly recommend this place.

Thank you Vito’s for being around!

I am writing this review from a previous reservation because we moved to the bar seating and our original reservation had to be canceled. Needles to say, they accommodate us without hesitation! Vito, is a little neighborhood joint that cannot be replicated in this part of town. The staff, bar and owners are the most accommodating. You feel at home immediately and you have that feel the entire way through. If you have a chance, please give it a go.. it is well worth the visit!

Some of the best Italian food we have had. Great understanding staff, made reservations for the wrong day. But got us in anyway. Great waiter, with fast service.

This is one of our fave neighborhood haunts. Consistently great food and warm, attentive service. The carpaccio and posilipo appies are always excellent. The daily fish specials are reliably delicious and their pasta dishes are always flavorful. Love this place. It's like a home away from home.

Best steak I’ve had in years! Far better than Ruth Chris. The service was exceptional! A wonderful night Out! Highly recommend. My husband had the lasagna which he thoroughly enjoyed and recommends

We have been to Vito several times. His last evening, our waiter did not know the cost of the specials, which sounded delicious. He went back to check. One of our guests said you know, you should inform us of the cost of the special. The waiter responded well most people don't ask. This put us in an awkward situation that we somehow were at fault and asking. We will certainly be back to Vito. This observation is offered as a constructive suggestion for better service.
