ne of the best Italian restaurants on the westside serving tradition Italian food in a classic setting with fantastic food and service. Every employee takes pride in their jobs from the hostess greeting you to the busboys, waiters and bar tenders. We treated ourselves to some specials on a packed Sunday night which exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed the sandabs which were cooked to perfection as well as the lamb chops which were incredibly seasoned and prepared. The pastas are all wonderful and the Veal meatballs just incredible. Vitos Westside classic cooked the best Italian comfort food in town!

I've been going to Vito for 25 years. I'm thrilled to report the new owners, Jay and Cynthia have revitalized the joint without trying to reinvent it. The menu is the same and some of the old staff thankfully remains. I'm trying not to make this sound like a paid or friend's review but if you don't believe me, see for yourself and if you're not satisfied I will cheerfully send you my heartfelt regrets no questions asked

As usual Vito's did not disappoint us. We met the new owner Melissa Ahaus and she couldn't have been nicer or more welcoming, even though it was a busy Saturday . We always ask for Enrique who goes out of his way to make our dinner a great experience.

We have been going to Vito's in Santa Monica for 40 years...basically almost since they first opened. It has always been great food and excellent service. We love the old world atmosphere, and well trained friendly staff. But... the restaurant was recently sold to new owners. Two couples who were regulars there as well. We have been back about 4 times now since the new owners took over. Everything that was wonderul about Vito's remains thankfully. However the new owners have introduced some amazing new specials; as additions to the regular menu. Last night we had the saffron risotto, with shellfish, and asparagus. WOW! That's all I can say. They were out of the branzino when we got there (bummer but we'll get it next time) so we also ordered the chicken marsala. One of our favorites on the menu, and truly the best chicken marsala we've had outside of Italy. Vito's never disappoints. We have now met both couples and we are thrilled they brought in new fresh ideas, while maintaining all the best that Vito already had to offer. So happy one of our faves did not go by the wayside like so many others have recently. Can't want to go back.

Stepping into this place it reminds me of the old school Italian places I would go to growing up. White cloth tables and good vibes! The food, all insanely delicious! Deserts were over the top sweet! Ate the std meatball and spaghetti. Followed up with a cannoli. The place could be noisy but still it was close and a fun place. Service was great and Nicolas was superb with our table.

We met some friends here for lunch and the service, food and wine list were outstanding. We were seated indoors, the decor is pleasant, think old school Italian restaurant with leather booths and nice lighting...Enrique and Ray were our servers and they did a great job. We will definitely go back.

Tonight sealed the deal! Vito you are forever our favorite local Italian now. We have had many visits in person in the past, but also frequently order delivery more now since having a baby. But tonight's delivery was beyond fantastic. The sand dabs (first time trying - yum!) and Vitello Sorrentina was perfect. Their veal dishes have always been our favorites (Vitello Sorrentina and Portofino being our top choices). The Spaghetti Della casa is also a fav. They always follow our notes for delivery and include bread. If you're looking for some fantastic food, this is it!
