Wonderful people and food

This place is mad cool. I wish I remembered my waitress’ name but she was a sweetheart and very attentive. This is the closest to British food I’m going to get until I visit. I was open to anything, and under the guidance of my waitress, I had a fantastic meal. If you’re someone who’s dieting… brace yourself. There’s decent sized portions and loaded with all the carbs, gluten, salt, and sugar you would ever want/need in a meal. Didn’t have room for dessert but I did have it for two cocktails. Both were A+s. I’m gonna check this place out again when I’m back in Santa Monica.

Great food and atmosphere.

If you don't want to be harassed, mistreated and discriminated, don't set foot in this place.
We went to the restaurant that is attached to the PUB with our children and we were celebrating our last day of vacation. Although they offer a kids' menu, they don't like children there.
A little time before the restaurant finished serving, we were treated rudely and disrespectfully by the host.
Although there were still two tables with customers who had just ordered their food, he kept harassing us and mistreating us, saying that we had to leave and that we couldn't stay for one or two more beers. Important detail: we spent more than USD 160 there between food and drinks.
The real problem is because we were foreigners and because we were with children, because the other custormers still eating and drinking, without being disturbed.
We had to hear that he thought children were too noisy and that in his opinion they should already be at home.
How can a restaurant as well-known as this one allow a host to treat customers like this, going so far as to want to interfere in my children's education?
Since we are reserved and polite people, we left without first hearing from this rude person that we were not welcome there.
It was a very serious case of harassment, disrespect and discrimination.

Lovely food and service.

I love this place! They have best fish and chips ( steak cut fries). Homemade tartar sauce is so thick and creamy.
Also the Shepherds Pie - it’s so delicious.

You can have dependably good fish and chips here! They get it right every time! Bangers and mash are also good. Service is friendly, and I just love the atmosphere with all British nick knacks. It's a fun experience! If you like to play darts, you can do it here in the bar area. On the flip side, you can reserve a table for Afternoon Tea as well. Don't forget to visit the English shop next door to take home yummy Cadbury items and their frozen (ready to bake) meat pies. If you're in Santa Monica, you have to try this place!

Loved the atmosphere specially Emily the host. Beautiful young lady. Was so helpful. Got the buffalo chicken burrito w chips and loved it. Josh the manager had great humor. Overall I loved it. Thanks guys

Ambiance is cute, and the high tea is fine for the price. I wish the tea selection was a little more extensive. The service, however, needs serious work. Despite having a reservation for 12pm, we weren't seated until 40 minutes later. No one seemed to care that I had a reservation at all, no apology was offered, and the service continued to be frenetic throughout our lunch. I had to pull teeth to get the server to explain how their high tea worked to us and my elderly father. This was our first time here. We'll be back to watch football at the bar, but will never do a tea service again.

Amazing old world pub in the heart of Santa Monica. The food is outstanding! The fish and chips are perfect and the clam chowder is to die for!!! Probably the best clam chowder I've ever had!

Parking: Parking structure on 2nd and Santa Monica Blvd is an easy walk to the pub.
