I saw the reviews and thought it would be a good idea to go, but I was completely wrong. The enchiladas were sour—SOUR! I only ate them because I felt embarrassed in front of the person I went with. My friend chilaquiles were also sour, just with a spicy touch. We talked about it days later and agreed we will never go back.

Went twice for breakfast once for dinner. Good food always. Especially enjoyed chorizo & potatoes & eggs. My friends had (Mexican) beers with dinner. Service very good all the time, keep an eye on you without bothering you.

A transcendental experience... I should explain.
Started the morning by hiking up to the punch bowls beginning @ 6am. About half way up I ingested 1gm of mushrooms. As I arrived to my destination about an hour later, things were feeling great. I hung out about half an hour and then began to make my way back, rolling along happily. I arrived back @ my vehicle @ 10:45am and then made my way to Cocina 1912. As I pulled up and then stepped out of my vehicle, I noticed my flask was in the door pocket. Knowing I was about to order a piping hot bowl of menudo, I took a good swing before I made my way in. I ordered my meal and when it arrived at the table, i added lots of pepper flakes, some lemon and oregano, and onion and cilantro as well. By god, by the time I was 1/4 of the into it, I was in a trance. Just sweatin' and feeling the meal wash over me like a wave. A wave of calm and nourishment. All the way through I was buzzing. I finished up and it took me about another 10 min to feel like I could stand and not get woozy.
10 outta 10, would eat here again.

We got to this place with a party of 8 and they didn't acknowledge us. They told us they needed to clean tables for us to be seated and 15 min passed and tables were not cleaned so we left and took our business elsewhere.

Restaurantji Recommends
Stopped in to get breakfast and wow so good! Really good coffee too. As a nice plus they played good music :) friendly attentive service. Would definitely go back and highly recommend if you’re in the area
My wife wanted to go have Mexican food. We got there at 6:30 on a Saturday evening and they were closed. On a Saturday night? These restaurants are complaining about the food trucks that are popping up around town. I don't feel sorry for them!
Terrible service! Don’t expect for your food to come fast and your orders to be correct.
The food is whatever. $20 for birria which is definitely not worth your money. $18 for chilaquiles and they don’t even taste good. The rice and beans are not good either. The breakfast torta doesn’t have flavor, and it takes about 40 mins to get the food.
They need a hostess, food runner, someone to check on customers and remove the plates, and someone to clean to tables when people leave.
Great neighborhood breakfast and lunch spot with picante Mexican food made from scratch.
The portions were huge and looked amazing, but honestly, the food needed more flavor. My husband liked his chile relleno plate (with rice and beans), but my birria and lengua tacos were dry, and we couldn't taste the chorizo or potatoes in the gordita.
Service was great though.
