This is a great spot that we pass on our way to Ojai every Sunday. They have delicious burgers and a great selection of lunch items. Very nice outdoor eating spot.

What a sweet spot in a remote location. They have all the classic cafe/diner food. The shakes are the bomb as well as the Italian sodas. Kids really dig this place. The chicken tenders are a sure kid pleaser. I had a fantastic tuna sandwich on croissant with sprouts that really did it for me. Such satisfying lunch fare. Ran with great, local customer service. So friendly & simply delicious. They are closed on Mondays and are a firm closed by 3. Get in there!

This burgers are the bomb! delicious, juicy meat and fresh ingredients, milkshakes are wonderful, French fries are to die for! Just order any extras like ranch or any dressing you want with your order and pay the extra amount of money they charge, otherwise Troy will burn

I was this years old when I found out what I've been missing all these years! I've driven by the summit all my life and have never stopped until today and let me tell you if you have not stopped do it!! We finished up a baseball game and felt it was the perfect time to stop for a shake!! Let me tell ya these shakes are massive and hand scooped. We ordered 7 shakes and you'd think that with that many it would have taken a long time! Not with this team they grouped up and knocked them all out in record fashion making sure they all came out the same time and non were sitting melting away. We didn't order food this go but the fries that were coming out looked amazing and hand cut! Love the small time feel and the quality of everything was perfect!

My wife and I are unable to pass the Summit without having their BLT and a shake. The sandwich is ample and tasty, made more so by adding a grilled Parmesan crust on the outside of the bread. A great throwback to a simpler and more personal way to eat on the road.

A locals-only spot serving up breakfast burritos and burgers, etc. The Tri Tip Burrito is awesome, with lots of steak bits and fluffy eggs and cheese. A classic Summit Burger has a juicy patty with a slice of cheddar, pickles and some sauce. They usually don't do morning Milkshakes, but they did indulged that day and it was awesome! No frills, but it's the best in the "casual-fun" category. Great for groups, great for to-go, just great for having any meal at all.

Tasty food, awesome staff, relaxing outdoor space and plenty of parking for cars and motorcycles. Love this spot!!

Their food is good and price is too cheap. There are a lot of hipsters sitting in this restaurant which make it fun place!

Biker friendly. I had a burger which tasted delicious! Fries are the bomb! Environment fosters socializing. Parking in the lot available. Friendly service.

Summit; noun; the highest point of a hill or mountain The Summit drive in was in fact not the highest point of a mountain, but it was BY FAR the highest point of my day. The meal was the definition of PEAK local food, and provided a wonderful relaxing break from the day. The menu is very simple and straightforward, with each combination seemingly complimenting ingredients with ease. The prices are more than fair, all while being served by some of the friendliest staff I've ever encountered. The people behind the scenes running the show made it a point to talk to some of the locals and show affection in a way only caring people can. I got the spicy chicken sandwich and the Mac and cheese bites, both were phenomenal and the other meals I saw come out of the kitchen were on the same level. Great food, great price, amazing hospitality. Very relaxing atmosphere.

The food is great! Rachel and the old mans customer service is terrible and makes you not want to go or suggest the great FOOD to anyone. So sad to see such a great place in a great spot go to waste with terrible customer service. Be prepared to not feel welcomed at all unless one of the kids are helping

Loved the food and some of the of the workers there were super cool and welcoming! But I do want to point out "Rachel" her name was, she was super poor at her customer service skills.. I asked her if I can have some extra ranch and she responds with "no because that's gonna have to cost ¢25" as if I couldn't read the sign they have right in front of the window where I was asking here at.... i respond and say "totally fine here's a $1 just keep the change, thank you." Now see I've worked in hospitality for awhile and that's no way to treat a customer. Anyways After that, I sat there and ate my food and I over heard her talking about other customers. That to me made me lose my appetite especially when I was already bothered by how she responded when I asked her for some extra ranch. Love the food and shakes though

Saw the great reviews and had to try this spot out. Unfortunately the man taking my order was very rude. No hello no thank-you. When I mentioned his customer service to an other employee they apologized but the man made a rude comment saying he does not care. My order was good but not worth dealing with the poor customer service.

I've lived in Ojai for years but never ate at The Summit. Today was the day. Made the drive up for lunch and boy, was it worth it. We had the classics: Summit burgers, fries & milkshakes. Solid meal. The burgers are delicious and generous in portion size. And the milkshakes? Perfection. I can't wait to come back.
