Stopped at this hole in the wall looking for something different, the food was good, service was fast, place was very clean. It’s nice to find a smaller tucked away spot with good food and great portions.

Great food and service. Walked right in and was seated. My son ordered a burrito and I ordered the steak fajitas. The burrito was ginormous, he couldn't finish it. The fajitas were delicious. The steak was perfection! Definitely will stop by again! Hidden gem for sure!

Mediocre food.
My enchiladas were served room temperature. No one came and asked if everything was ok.
I like to go local, especially to family-run places, but this place needs better quality control and some updates with the former more important than the latter to me.

Very polite servers and cooks were on task.

Kid-friendliness: Kid-friendly if they are behaved at is not a large setting.

Wheelchair accessibility: Seems yes.

We used to love going here to get a Caldo de Res. It was one of the better places where thay made it. But as of lately the quality of their caldo has gone down. We placed our order over the phone and they told us 20 min for it to be ready. When we got their they hadn't even started making it. By the waitresses expresion it almost felt like they had forgotten. They rushed to make it and had us wait another 30 min. It seems like they threw in their caldo what ever meat they had to make the order. The meat, if you can call it that, was mostly fat. I think i only ate one spoon size piece that actually had meat on it. We pretty much paid $28 dollars for two orders of vegetable soup and rice.
I feel like if they didn't have what they needed to make a proper caldo de "Res" and I stress the Res part, they could of told us they couldn't make the order and I would of gladly ordered something else.
That is poor quality of food and customer service. 😢

A few months ago I was returning from Ojai to LA and stopped in Santa Paula for a bite to eat. I was hungry but getting over a cold virus and not feeling well. I ordered the Sopa de Pollo and I could feel the soup revive me on the spot. So so good. I tasted my wife's burrito also yummy. Today I happened to be working in Santa Paula and went back. Just as good, family style place, sweet and professional staff. I enjoyed my Shrimp taco with Chicken enchilada, and naturally, I got a sopa de pollo to go. I'm at home eating it now. The place is as authentic as this dude in the photo (not me). I snuck a pic.

This is one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants in Santa Paula. The food is good and the staff is friendly. It's usually not too busy inside if you choose to dine in.

Great little spot for authentic Mexican dishes! I haven't tried a dish yet that I haven't loved. Their menudo and pozole is the absolute best I've ever had and their lengua guisado is so tender and delicious.

Lovely food. Great familiar smells of home cooking. Traditional music in the background. Reminds me of my childhood growing up in San Gabriel. I feel right at home in this restaurant.
