I thought the service and atmosphere was great but I thought the food could use a lot of improvement especially for the price it cost I order the teriyaki chicken and the teriyaki was not apparent and the sauce was lacking and watery there California rolls weren’t very pleasing I don’t know how to explain it maybe something with there crab or avocado or the yoda green wasabi that was weak and again lacking although I thought there sashimi was good for the price and the amount you got it wasn’t anything to rave over but good over all it was okay and would recommend very beginner friendly

This place has a pretty good selection of sushi, although I ordered a baked volcano roll with scallops and it was something I’ve never seen in sushi it looked completely messy and everything just thrown on top for $18-19) special rolls were pretty good and decent portion.

We wanted to try a new sushi place, this is going to be our new favorite! We tried the gyoza, Dragon Roll, Hamachi Lovers roll, and the Tropical Dream roll. Everything was delicious and very fresh (which is saying something since we went towards closing time on a Monday night). The service was very friendly and the prices were very reasonable. Great spot for date night!

Aji Sushi and Grill is a formal and informal (depending on your mood) Asian cuisine restaurant located on Mendocino Avenue in Santa Rosa. It is apart of the Mendocino Market Place which is a plaza area. There is handicapped parking as well as wheelchair accessibility to the restaurant.I think this place was a bit over priced, but their food was pretty good. I had ordered the unagi nigiri and my guest had the ramen. The unagi nigiri, which is barbecued fresh water eel, had a lot of flavor and melted in my mouth. I enjoyed their white rice. I loved the seaweed that came on the side, so crunchy and moist. The celery and yellow fruit was a nice touch. My guest had mentioned it wasn’t the best ramen he’s had, but it was pretty good. They do have vegetarian options like cucumber rolls and more. I loved how at the end of the meal when they gave you your check they also give you the little Asian yogurt drinks. So creamy and nice touch for the customers! They are definitely kid friendly as there are plenty of families that dine here.The servers there were attentive and polite.I loved their choice of decor. I had tried this restaurant around the holidays and they had a very simple yet sophisticated look to their choice of Christmas decorations.To the beautiful people of Sonoma County and visitors abroad I would definitely give Aji Sushi a try. It was good food, but one time may be enough. I wouldn’t come here frequently based on their prices.
