When this place was China legend it was great. But sadly now their Generals chicken sauce is chunky for some reason and the hot and sour soup was bland and filled with tomatoes. Who tf puts Chopped tomatoes in hot/sour soup?

We ordered Boiling Bowl via DoorDash and were horribly disappointed!!! The Peking Duck was over cooked, just bones and fat, and no more than two bites. The Szechwan Beef was tough and full of gristle! HORRIBLE EXCUSE FOR CHINESE FOOD!!! Please go elsewhere and do yourself a favor.

I’m stoked. Finally a Chinese restaurant to give others in the area a run for the money. Very friendly staff, and the restaurant is clean. The lamb hotpot is legit. Lots of stuff inside a simmering cauldron of soup served on the table. We got the spicy version and it did not disappoint. The numbing sensation of the Szechuan peppercorns was unmistakable. Not sure, this might be the only hotpot north of the Golden Gate Bridge The beef chow fun was GOOD! Sometimes versions are oily, but this one wasn’t. Not at all. Garlic eggplant was also fantastic. Super flavorful and the color palette was stunning. The menu is pretty extensive, not sure that is a good thing.

Restaurant location is kinda hidden. Go! Try it. As a Chinese dude, I’m glad they opened up near my home. Serving sizes are kinda too big, but leftovers.

Standard Santa Rosa Chinese food but very rude service. I was hung up on several times while trying to fix an item in my delivery order that they got wrong twice. Don’t eat here if you have food allergies and need to have something left out of your meal.

Nice newly opened Boiling Bowl restaurant in Santa Rosa. Clean, good service, affordable price. Plenty of parking spaces for easy access to the restaurant too. My family will return for dinner again.

Very clean and neat and minimalist updated decor. Friendly and very accommodating staff. Vegan options and alternatives supported. Dish presentation is decorative. Enjoyed the vegetable Mushu without egg asked for added tofu and they were happy to do it. they let us dine during their one hour break between three and four. The omnivore very much enjoyed the Mongolian beef and the chicken eggrolls. The vegetable fried rice without egg is the best I’ve had in way too long . We later ordered takeout and the packaging is great, delivery was fast. The portions are generous. Food was delicious. paid 90 something dollars and got enough food for two people to have two huge dinners and a lunch from the leftovers. we have been missing a good Chinese restaurant and we’re excited about the boiling bowl in our neighborhood :-) A lot of our family is vegan now and they have party packages that we will no doubt be taking advantage of as well.

Vegetarian options: many dishes can be made vegetarian and many are only vegetable to start with, I think the only vegetarian soup is hot and sour soup, but they can change out oyster sauce for a tamari sauce on more veg dishes, garlic broccoli was good also…

I went inside the restaurant to order food to go. Very pleasant inside. The food is the best I've had in a long time. However they forgot to add the tofu to my vegan daughter's vegetable dish :( Even though there was a bit of discussion about it when ordering. I dont know if I was charged for the tofu or not but I will definitely give them another try.
