We are always excited to try new restaurants during Restaurant Week. While we had been to CIBO Rustico a while ago, it felt like the right time to try again. Fortunately I had the foresight to make a reservation since the place was PACKED with happy people enjoying food & each other. Always a good sign! Anyway, we ordered the restaurant week special and a nice bottle of Carol Shelton Zinfandel. Our first course was a generous arugula salad. However, it was dressed(?) with a generous helping of warm prosciutto and balsamic dressing topped with with shaved parmigiano reggiano. Outstanding and we had to take some home. The next course was spinach ravioli in cream sauce. Again, very generous and outstanding! And again leftovers! Finally, pork spareribs braised in the house made red sauce. Each serving was two ribs but plenty after the previous abundance. Unfortunately there were none of those left over but the amount was perfect. The sauce had just a little bit of an edge and the ribs were fall off the bone perfect. The Shelton Zin made a great complement to this meal. We had sort of forgotten about CIBO in our rotation but, after that meal, it had to go back to the top of the lineup. Thanks guys!

Nice place , walk in , the owner hands you a 2 ounce pour of wine you sit , really good food . between a winery and a brewery .make Reservations !
I really wanted to like this place more than I did. The food was okay, mediocre at best but the atmosphere made up for it. We came on a Friday evening and there were no seats inside so we were seated outside. Server had to be reminded multiple times to bring enough table settings for our party of 4. I am not sure why they thought our 4 year old wouldn’t need a plate or utensils. Easily remedied.
As for the food. We ordered:
Roasted Zucchini Flowers - I am always excited to see this on the menu but was disappointed to get what was a very bready deep fried dough. It tasted alright, a bit on the salty side and essentially was a carb. Would not recommend if you were expecting lightly battered zucchini flowers.
Spinach Ravioli - This was good. Flavorful and the sauce was plentiful.
Italian Sausage Mushroom - Okay pizza for what it was. We ended up taking most of this home as the bread was thick which made it very filling.

I guess if you want real pizza, need to go to Italy.
Recently had a pizza with basil, cheese and meatballs. The meat was tasteless as well as the sauce, certainly not Martzanos. Over all no seasoning. I have eaten Italian food from Rome to New a York to California. If this was made with love as my Nonna would say it will be delicious. This seems thrown together with little care.
Sauce is critical and many pizza joints overlook that.
Basically tasteless. I usually don’t give a negative review but I was hoping.

Authentic Italian atmosphere. Excellent food. My favorite are the meatballs, the grilled vegetables, and the Luciano Pizza. But I’ve never been disappointed with anything there

Went here for dinner Friday evening with my fiancé. Were given menus and told we could sit where ever we wanted. It took 20 minutes waiting in the 85 degree weather and being 37 weeks pregnant, for the waitress to come and greet us, when she came, we didn’t even have water but we’re expected to order right away. The food was not good. I had cheese ravioli with pesto, it was so oily you cloud hardly eat it. My finance had the spaghetti, which also was not good, very plain. This big party came in a little after us and were greeted with smiles and wine right away, full attention from all staff. It was a very unsettling experience. We had to go and ask for our check because we were not checked on one time. We will not be back.

Great food, great staff, great atmosphere
The restaurant was a delight from the moment we walked through the door, it felt like we were in a pizzeria in Italy. The charming owner Ray was part of the amazing experience. We were only sat for a few minutes when he brought my daughter and some wine. The pizzas were out of this world. We had one with sausage and pepperoni and the other was devine was vegetarian with truffle oil, it was phenomenal. Everything about this restaurant was superb. The staff were great even though we had a grouchy 11 year old with us. The pizza even turned her frown upside down. If you happen to be in Santa Rosa and you want a slice of heaven I mean pizza, this is the place for you.
The service is great and the flavor of the food is really good but the rice in my peppers wasn’t cooked and my husband’s raviolis and our meat ball appetizer were cold and raw.
