So good. I will definitely got back soon.
I really wanted to love this place, and I expected to with a 4.5 star rating. Unfortunately, everything was underwhelming. I expected the Chicken Shwarma to be shaved. Instead, it was cut into thick, tough, overcooked chunks of chicken. It was not the texture I was seeking. Additionally, it didn't have the flavor profile that I am familiar with with Shwarma and was rather bland. I also expected the naan and hummus to be on the side so I could scoop up the shwarma, but it came like a sandwich with the chicken inside. Unfortunately, it couldn't be eaten like a sandwich because the naan was very thin and broke apart easily. The hummus came spread thin on the naan and was so sparce that I couldn't even say what it tasted like. The dressing for the salad was supposed to be a basil vinaigrette, but it was so heavy with vinegar that you could only taste vinegar. I felt ill the rest of the day, and I assume it was from this, but I can't say for sure. Either way, with their price point, it is not worth the chance to leave (best case scenario) disappointed (worst case scenario) ill. I will say that it is decorated nicely. It is really too bad it is a facade. Service was mediocre. We were told to sit anywhere but got ushered away from the seats we chose, which was awkward.
These people are so lovely! And the food is phenomenal!! The garden burger is out of this world & they always have excellent vegan soup!!! I highly recommended East West Cafe for any occasion!! ❤️
There’s absolutely no way that the high reviews are real. This is some of the worst food I’ve had in this region, and service was non-existent. Nothing was edible and we left hungry. Avoid this place at all cost.
I introduced E.W.C to a friend of mine and we visited there on Memorial Day weekend. I used to go to both the Sebastopol and Santa Rosa locations. Many years ago they served breakfast, however the waitress explained that they no longer served breakfast for the past 5 years.. It was SUPREME!! And at the Sebastopol location they served an incredible chocolate cake sweetened with beets! I know, sounds odd but it was absolutely delicious! And at the Santa Rosa location they served a German chocolate cake! You have to like German chocolate cake to begin with, and their's was hands Up The Best I'd ever ate! Unfortunately, neither dessert was on the menu. However I did see that they had carrot cake and even though I'm not particularly a fan of carrot cake, I'll bet that it's most likely just as good as the other two *This is not intended to be a negative review by any means but I was truly disappointed that they took breakfast off the menu and The slices of Cake were 5 Star!

I love the food here and the folks I, but the outside seating is right on the road, so it can be a bit loud.
Vegetarian options: There are way many to list, it is such a great place for veggi options.

Dropped by a couple of weeks ago and was quite pleased with the quality and variety of food here. I now know this restaurant has been open a number of years, don’t live in hometown any longer, so… new to me. Great place!

I was in the area and chose this place because of its 4.5 rating on google. I don’t understand who in their right mind wound rate this food over 3 stars.
Food was SUPER disappointing. We just got back from Italy and Greece and I was exited for some mediterranean food. The chicken shawarma tasted like it had been re-heated multiple times. Overly dry and just a lackluster flavor hidden in overly stewed tomatoes and sliced onions. Hummus was bland. Pita bread was whole wheat and the “corners” were all cut off …. Like someone decided to cut it into a circle to fit the plate - Odd. Tahini sauce was super runny and tasted watered down. Lunch with no drink was $23 with a tip and I had indigestion the rest of the day.
Service was 10/10. Everyone was super friendly and seemed happy to be there. Super nice patio seating our front, but is right on the road and a little on the noisy side.
Most of the patrons were 70+ …. The only people younger than that were accompanying older guests. That alone should have told me enough before I decided to stay and eat.
