Dwarfed by new construction accross the street and situated next to Fremont Park, El Patio #2 has been serving up great Mexican food for many years. Service with a smile, the prices are affordable and that keeps me coming back. You can eat inside or outside with more than ample seating. My wife really likes their Chile Rellenos. I think the burritos and combination plates are great.
The MacDougall menu options let you know you're going to be eating healthy food. It could use more flavor though. I had the MacDougall Deluxe Burrito. It contains beans, rice and an array of steamed vegetables wrapped in a whole wheat tortilla and served with pico de gallo. It was good but really needed some flavor enhancement. Just a little cilantro or a hint of cumin would make a big difference. We thought maybe we could up the flavor with hot sauce but the brand they had...
Ordered a chile relleno and a combo plate.Food was very tasty, especially the chile relleno!Only issue - The food was lukewarm and had to be reheated and we were only 2 minutes from the restaurant.
