Gary's at the Belvedere

Where do I start?
Only 1 star because the pizza place on top looked alright.
My friend and I are newly 21 looking for a place to play pool and have some nice drinks. The place looked classy online so we decided to try it out.
First walking in creepy white guy says “Oh u look too young to be in a bar” lol okay? Mind your business much?
Secondly bartender took over 3 minutes to even address us because she was chopping it up with the men in the bar.
Third we asked about the pool tables she told us they were coin tables so we said okay and this even creeepier guy got soo close to my friend out of nowhere and asked us if we wanted to play pool. My friend said no we only have 2 people. He said “2 on 2?” I said “nah we’re good” then we asked the bartender for a tequila sunrise and a cosmopolitan, she makes the tequila sunrise quickly then moves to the cosmopolitan and broke the glass while making it. Proceeded to yell “AHHHH” then switched to a sweet but condescending and says “let me just remake that for you”
At this point the music is just bad vibes the energy is just so dark and depressing felt like we were suffocating. So we decided to just get up and leave because we were so uncomfortable. As we’re getting up to leave the bartender yells “WHERE U GOING” and has a crazy look on her face. We told her we were going to use the restroom and left.
Went to Applebees and are enjoying the vibes and drinks so much more. I pray for the people in this bar.

This is one of my friend's favorite places to go so he decided to take me along one day. Well, I wasn't impressed. We tried to order food which became an ordeal since you have to order from upstairs and they never answered the phone to place an order to begin with. I had to walk upstairs to place the order that took over an hour. The other thing I couldn't stand was the uneven floors and the fact that the bartender never came to our table. I had to go up to the bar to get any refills on our drinks. So, I don't care to return.

Eh....played pool which was cool, but the customer service was horrible. It's important to embrace all and be inclusive....when it came to the bartenders they seemed like it was a problem to serve us...less than welcoming.

The staff were amazing - the bar tender was a doll & poured good drinks. The rest of the staff was so fun and know how to have a good time. My sister and I enjoyed ourselves & had so much fun- it was a good fun late night local scene- thanks for a good time until next time -

Parking: Come early for close to the building, little late? Free street parking!
Very late? Enjoy your Walk from down the street.
If it says don't park take that Seriously ?

They wouldn't let me in with an American federal ID, the bouncer said they could only take state IDs and not federal IDs. Everywhere online it says it's completely fine to use that ID and every other bar has taken it. The Belvidere honestly sucks.

Bar tenders are just the best always friendly and good listeners for those in need of a chat. The food takes so so so long it's like I might as well wait till next week.

Beautiful old building. I absolutely that there is still a place where one can drink and smoke at the same time! Joey's Pizza, upstairs is fantastic!
