Love the paella, and the attendants are so friendly. A must to try.

We eat it so fast we forget to take pictures. We've had the pleasure of eating paella from Gerard's during different events they have catered. The food is delicious. We come up with reasons to celebrate so that we can order paella. The protions are very generous. My family for 4 can share a family sized meal (with seconds) and stil l have some left overs. We order with extra sausage and calamari. Take out comes cold so you can store it in you fridge until your ready to eat, but reheating in your oven is super easy.

We had our wedding this past weekend and everyone was RAVING about the paella. Jenny was a joy to work with, easy going and flexible- but also got the job DONE. They also went above and beyond by providing my bridal party some vegan snacks while we were doing our portraits, and bringing ice and water/water carafes! On top of all that - we got to take home all the extra and yummy food! Oh yeah AND we got married in Fort Bragg and they were totally cool with travelling for a small fee. I highly recommend them for your wedding or any catering needs.Food is excellent. They are going to cater our wedding!

Great place for tasty paella! We finally came here thanks to Sonoma County Restaurant Week. The menu included a choice of tapas, paella, and creamy vanilla ice cream. Can't say it was a great Restaurant Week deal at $29 when paella is normally around $20. Tapas were good, but I'd skip them and go straight to the paella next time because that's where it's really at. It's not easy to find good paella. It's cool that you can see them make the huge batches of paella. I'll consider splitting one order next time since I completely filled a to-go box.Pros: tasty paella, good serviceCons: limited menu

We had never gotten around to eating here but the news that it will be going out of business soon made us stop in. The waiter's recommendation that their $18 seafood paella was enough for two was a good one. Flavoring was balanced, chicken and seafood was abundant and we were stuffed for under $20 for two. We've enjoyed Gerard's paella catering at other event over the years and it is a shame it won't be around at this location much longer.

The venue was comfortable, the service was very welcoming and helpful in ordering a best dish, the food was fresh and wonderfully balanced with flavors. This is definitely a GEM in Sonoma County. We are very fortunate to have it in our city.

Official announcement. Closes Feb 3, 2020. Santa Rosa Press Democrat newspaper: "Chef Gerard Nebesky of Gerard's Paella y Tapas in downtown Santa Rosa is second- guessing his second-guessing. After announcing in November his plans to close his 18-month-old restaurant on Fourth Street, a flood of paella fans poured in, prompting Nebesky to say the restaurant would remain open. Continued business challenges, however, have Nebesky once again announcing the restaurant's official closure on Feb. 3."

We live in the East Bay and we would travel to Santa Rosa to eat at Gerard's because we loved it so much! I still love the food here. But on our last visit I noticed something very disgusting which is why we haven't been back. Even though it was a busy Sunday we were greeted and seated quickly. While enjoying our meal I asked for water, they serve their water in carafe. After filling up my clear glass I noticed floatie substances in the drinking water so I asked for another clean glass in which they brought to me. I filled up that glass and saw it had less floating object than the first one. I was still very skeptical. I then noticed the busboy cleaning up tables. He poured the used water left in the glasses back into the carafe and continued to cleaned up the entire, I assume they do this to clear out the table quicker. He walked away while another busboy came by to help and grabbed the carafe and placed it where the clean carafes. Now if you've ever been to this place they have a section where they have carafe filled with water ready to be served. The busboy by mistake placed it with the clean ones! I too must have gotten someone else backwash... I do miss their food but after this experience I cant go back :(

Great food! OK/Good service. Nothing bad just had to ask for napkins and for our drinks. Best sign was a nice clean restroom.

My wife and I spent a month in Espana many years ago. The food is delicious. Gerard's is extremely authentic. Even my Service dog is welcomed there.

This is a walk up and order restaurant. They have several paella's out to choose from and decent drink selections. The salad I got was delicious and the Paella was also tasty. The atmosphere is chill. There are windows that can open up the whole restaurant when there is nice weather.

The paella were really tasty and a good price. Each one can serve two people. Liked the Rosa paella which has chicken and chorizo in it topped with arugula. The tapas were ok. Service was excellent.
