Very good food and very friendly staff
Overpriced and Underwhelming
I was looking forward to Han Bul Korean BBQ in Santa Rosa but unfortunately it was more of a disappointment than a delight. First off, the prices are too high for what you get. For what we paid I expected better meat and more food—especially for a BBQ place.
The taste of the food just felt like grill wasn’t cleaned and everything tasted burnt and gross.
As for the side dishes—it was just meh. Nothing was good and the marinades were either too salty or too sweet. No balance at all from a decent Korean BBQ joint.
Overall I left feeling more annoyed than full. Not going back.
I visited Han Bul Korean BBQ as a Graduation present from my grandparents I had gotten takeout food from here only once before and it was pretty good so I decided Why not go there but oh boy did it disappointed me. I will not return
First off the restaurant was just loud, and the tables are close. And they stuck us in this corner table . Which honestly wasn’t a big problem, but just made it a bit cramped
Service was a problem - it took more than 20 minutes to get water. No one offered a refill during our meal. When we asked our server about the banchan, she spoke briefly plus seemed to dismiss our question, which made the exchange feel awkward.
We ordered two main dishes that the menu said came with sides. But the staff gave us only one small set of sides for both dishes. When we asked about this, the waiter did not help and seemed annoyed by the question. And then never returned to our table.
The poor service, an uncomfortable setting, also the feeling of hurry and neglect led to a bad meal.
Portions have shrunk unbelievably, my bulgogi set was 50% onion and some of the meat was burnt to a crisp and stuck to the platter. The banchaan portions are such a joke, literally a bite of each and they charge for refills. Go to Vallejo or Concord for all you can eat and skip this scam
Don't believe the photos and videos. They're pre-covid. No more Korean restaurant, just the Japanese cuisine next to it (Haku Sushi).
Unique Korean BBQ place. Shares the space with Japanese restaurant next door.
Low standard. They say they are not like normal Korean restaurant. Just don’t. Just buy packaged food from Asian market and eat that. It’ll be cheaper and similar. Bossam says it has oyster, meat was over cooked and didn’t come with kimchi (wtf) and radish weird thing it came supposedly had oyster sauce (another wtf). Worst korean food ever. Can’t believe this place has high rating. Same owner operate both Korean and Japanese places. Soft shell crab was smothered in sweet unagi sauce.
We dined here as a party of 12. The good news is that they were able to accommodate a large group on a Saturday night with very little notice, and the food came out quickly once we ordered. However, I would not recommend dining here as a large group. They seated us in a very dark corner with only one way in/out of our table, you can't order from certain sections of the menu with a group of 6+ and they give each party the same (very small) banchan regardless of party size.
The food itself was also very mediocre, especially for the price. Many of us ordered the bento box. Mine was salmon kama (dry, small portion, very strange sauce), Alaska roll, and mixed tempura (actually fried quite well!). The ones who ordered items other than the bento box were uniformly disappointed - kalbitang was very peppery and inauthentic, donburis were not good, soondoobu meat was tough.
Overall, cannot recommend, but if you do go, would only for small groups and to order conservatively.
The restaurant also does not look like the pictures. The tables did not have grills or vents, so I'm not sure how they do the kbbq.

I recently dined at this Korean and Japanese restaurant and was genuinely impressed. While I'm not an expert on Korean cuisine, I do enjoy Korean American favorites like L.A. Galbi, Pajeon, and Bibimbap. This time, I decided to try something new and ordered the hot stone Dolsot Bibimbap. The dish comes with a partially cooked egg meant to finish cooking as you mix it in the hot stone bowl. The kind waitress took the time to explain this unique aspect to me, and I truly appreciated her guidance.
The Dolsot Bibimbap was an absolute delight. The portion was generous enough to satisfy two people or provide hearty leftovers for one. I wholeheartedly recommend this dish to anyone visiting.
For dessert, we indulged in the Black Sesame ice cream with matcha powder and bits of rasberry. It was so delectable that it disappeared in no time. Their selection of homemade ice creams includes delicious flavors like Yuzu, which I am eager to try on my next visit.
Overall, this restaurant was a pleasant surprise, and I look forward to returning. The combination of delicious food, attentive service, and delightful desserts makes it a standout choice.

Sushi was good; soup was bad.The reason for 1 star is the attitude. We are a group of 7, ordered roughly $170 of food. They served 11 small dishes of Korean appetizers. When we asked for refill, they just provided the refill WITHOUT informing us that we will be charged $2 per dish refill. We have never been to or heard of any Korean restaurant that charge money for appetizer dishes. During checkout, we asked the waitress “it does not make sense to have the same number of small dishes regardless of the number of people. The table next to us only has a group of 3, but they have the same number of appetizer dishes. “. The waitress responded, “did you count how many dishes they have?”What information are you trying to extract from us? Did you really think we would stand next to their table and count?I asked “if I come alone and only ordered a tofu soup, will I get 11 small dishes?” The waitress said, “ of course not. You’ll only get 3 or 4”. So will I get 3 or 4? Which 3? How do you know which 3 I want?At the end we left 10% tip, and we really regret about it. Leaving 10% makes them think we’re stingy. What we should do is to just leave our 2cents.Please assume we did not leave any tip, and here’s our answer to your question, “no, we did not count how many dishes they have. But now you can count how much tip we left”.

Use to be good, now it's just a shadow of what it use to be. Quality & service is way down, yet prices have gone up. Staff seems to not care anymore. Honestly not worth the money, time or parking fee. Sure they're open late, but meh go spend your hard earned money somewhere else cause this place isn't it anymore.
Parking: Free street parking after 6pm if not park at the mall garage its free all day about a 5 minute walk.

Korean soup is usually my comfort food, and I ordered a Kimchi Jjigae from this restaurant for the first time and this soup is VERY VERY SWEET and I could barely eat. It’s supposed to be spicy and I have never tasted a Kimchi soup that is sweet. I was so disappointed since the food was packed so well.
This is a Japanese - Korean combo restaurant. Do not order Korean food here. There’s no bbq grill on the table so all the grilling happens in the kitchen. The grill is dirty, so the meat comes out extremely burnt. 70%+ not edible. There’s no banchan and you can taste the msg in the food in general. The worst is the pricing — it’s one of the most over priced menu I’ve ever seen anywhere.
