Dishonest Billing – Watch Your Receipt!

Check your receipts every time! I came to Ippinn Udon in Santa Rosa and ordered milk tea — but when the bill came, I noticed I was charged for Aladdin Nigori sake ($10.99) instead.

When I asked the waiter for the receipt, he first didn’t give it to me. After I insisted, he handed it over, and when I questioned the charge, he said “the boss made it,” then pretended to call the boss. He didn’t actually ask any questions on the phone and just handed me back $6 in cash.

This felt dishonest and unprofessional. It left me wondering if this happens to other customers too.

I hope management takes this seriously — customers deserve honest service and clear billing

So so glad to have found this spot! The udon noodles with pork belly, soft boiled egg in the tonkotsu broth is a comfort food I have been yet to find around here, have only known of one place in New York to use udon noodles instead of ramen and it is my absolute FAVORITE. The broth here is so rich and flavorful and the noodles are chewy and comforting. Tempura has the perfect crunch and even holds up to be delicious as left overs the next day which I have never known tempura to be able to do. They give generous portions of everything, was especially surprised by how many pot stickers where in an order and also very yummy. Hot sauce is unique and delicious with the perfect kick for spicy lovers. People working there are nice as can be, place was clean and service was lightening fast. Ordered a TON of food and it was all ready in 15 minutes flat. Over all really really delighted to have found this place. Will definitely be my go to comfort food from now on. Thank you Ippinn for a most delicious meal!

Fresh made and high quality. It is rare to find house made dumplings, noodles, etc. in Santa Rosa. The abundant portions of food are delicious, very flavorful, but not loaded with salt, and high quality. Great service and pride of craftsmanship is apparent. We will be back again and again.

Absolutely loved this udon spot! The soup noodles were incredibly flavorful — rich, savory broth with perfectly chewy noodles that hit the spot. We also tried the fried rice bowl, and it was just as impressive: packed with flavor, generous portions, and cooked to perfection.

What really stood out was the value. For the price, the portion sizes are more than generous. It’s hard to find a place that delivers both quality and quantity like this. Highly recommend if you’re craving comforting, satisfying Japanese food without breaking the bank!

Food is just mediocre. The food is served 2 mins after we ordered, thus I am pretty sure it’s not freshly made. Both udon and ramen are not good, even the squid tempora taste bad.
For service, everything is self-served, which is okay. Though we did pay tips…..

TLDR, this is at most 3 star.
