A gem hidden right in downtown. Walking into it brings back memories of walking into an old school family owned diner, which is exactly what this place is. Owners are great and everyone working there is super nice. Their food is amazing and I can’t get enough of the French dip.

I left disappointed after looking forward to coming here. The menu is uninspired, there’s nothing that stands out or makes you think, “wow, that sounds amazing.” They have nearly 50 different sandwiches, yet not a single avocado toast… one of the most basic and popular items you’d expect.
There are no house-made breakfast desserts or pastries either; no zucchini bread, muffins, or anything fresh-baked. In the end, it’s just a standard spot for eggs and sandwiches. Nothing special. There are plenty of nearby restaurants who offer a greater value for the money.

By default, this was the only nearby deli that was open on Saturday June 14, 2025. Inside, it looks more like a restaurant than a deli (quite discomforting for someone with a “game budget” such as myself). I was confused about where to order and the staff seemed full of excuses. Being a formerly prolific Google reviewer, I was thinking “they have stars to redeem.” One of them eventually came to me with a smile of desire. The tomato avocado cream cheese sandwich was deliciously refreshing on this rather hot day. As a readers needed, I found the displayed cans of readers cute and impressive, although I dug my backpack for my own readers before I saw the cans. It was a good fulfillment of the downtown Santa Rosa lunch experience.
