I absolutely love this place and have been coming here for a long time — it’s one of those little gems you just keep coming back to. I recently stopped by again because they have a special on certain days where you can get $3 fish tacos (yes, THREE dollars!) and they’re so worth it. Pro tip: follow them on Facebook and Instagram so you can catch when the specials are happening — it’s totally worth planning a visit around it.
The food here is always made fresh to order, which I love because it means everything tastes hot, fresh, and just right. This time I tried the artichoke and the crab cakes, and I cannot stop thinking about those crab cakes. They were perfectly crispy on the outside, tender and full of flavor on the inside — not greasy, not dry, just absolutely delicious. The artichoke was also perfectly cooked and came out steaming, making it such a comforting appetizer to share.
One of my favorite things about this spot is how cozy it feels. It’s a small, inviting place with a few outdoor tables, so you can sit and enjoy your food in a relaxed setting. There’s no big dining room “scene” inside — it’s more of a laid-back, neighborhood vibe, which honestly makes me love it even more. It’s the kind of place you can just stop by, grab something amazing, and take a minute to slow down.
Every visit feels personal, like you’re supporting a local business that really cares about what they serve. The food always comes out looking beautiful and tasting incredible, and the staff is always kind and welcoming.
This is hands-down one of my go-to spots, and I recommend it to anyone who loves fresh, flavorful food and a cozy atmosphere. I’ll definitely keep coming back!

Hadn't eaten here since the change of ownership that's to bad used to be a 5 stars now it's a 3 star it was just ok this time it. They only gave 1 small container of tartar sauce for 2 big peices of fish and no lemon that was disappointing i got it to go and didn't realize til I got home

What a gem!!! I’ve been craving fish and chips all year and this HIT THE SPOT. Amazing, fresh, crispy, flaky fish. So so good. I recommend dipping in the vinegar and tartar sauce yummm! Moving in two months and so sad I just found this place. Good job guys!

This place would probably rate 4.8 or even higher if it were'nt for the minimal dine in seating(two outdoor tables). This is my go to spot if I'm in the Santa Rosa area...no need to go anywhere else. The fish and chips are divine and the portion size is very generous. While I have not tried other menu items, it is clear that the owner(s) really care and are motivated to provide fantastic food at very fair prices. Definitely go check out Mel's fish and chips, try it once and you will be coming back again and again.

Love this place and haven't been in awhile and I couldn't beleive it cost us $80.00 we ordered Combo#1 which is one piece of fish and 3 prawns and chips and my husband got the 3 piece fish and chips and we ordered an order of 5 prawns and 1 can of Dr. Pepper how in the world does that add up to $80.its good but damm!

What an interesting find! Little hole in the wall place that serves some hefty fish n chips. I'm not a fish fan. However, when my kid got some fish n chips here, I have to say it was pretty good. Crispy and flaky, no fish flavor. Nicely cooked with a generous amount of food per plate.
