Hadn't eaten here since the change of ownership that's to bad used to be a 5 stars now it's a 3 star it was just ok this time it. They only gave 1 small container of tartar sauce for 2 big peices of fish and no lemon that was disappointing i got it to go and didn't realize til I got home

What a gem!!! I’ve been craving fish and chips all year and this HIT THE SPOT. Amazing, fresh, crispy, flaky fish. So so good. I recommend dipping in the vinegar and tartar sauce yummm! Moving in two months and so sad I just found this place. Good job guys!

This place would probably rate 4.8 or even higher if it were'nt for the minimal dine in seating(two outdoor tables). This is my go to spot if I'm in the Santa Rosa area...no need to go anywhere else. The fish and chips are divine and the portion size is very generous. While I have not tried other menu items, it is clear that the owner(s) really care and are motivated to provide fantastic food at very fair prices. Definitely go check out Mel's fish and chips, try it once and you will be coming back again and again.

Love this place and haven't been in awhile and I couldn't beleive it cost us $80.00 we ordered Combo#1 which is one piece of fish and 3 prawns and chips and my husband got the 3 piece fish and chips and we ordered an order of 5 prawns and 1 can of Dr. Pepper how in the world does that add up to $80.its good but damm!

Mel's is amazing if you're in the mood for fish and chips. It's in a grubby strip mall and doesn't look like much, but the fried fish is hot and delicious. Good if you looking for takeout.

What an interesting find! Little hole in the wall place that serves some hefty fish n chips. I'm not a fish fan. However, when my kid got some fish n chips here, I have to say it was pretty good. Crispy and flaky, no fish flavor. Nicely cooked with a generous amount of food per plate.

I ordered a fish taco. wish i ordered more. the fish was fresh and crispy. the coleslaw added to the crunch texture. the sauce was my favorite part. it added a kick to the taco. this was my first time eating here and definitely won’t be my last. fast and friendly service.
