It was better and has gotten worse, the bowls were always a good deal for what you get, now they put arugula or spinach, balsamic, the meat and pita bread. They used to have rice more veggies and was a overall good bowl. I'm not sure if they are changing the ingredients from now on, but if that's what they give you now, no thanks I won't be back.

I had a small order for takeout. It was a gyro sandwich and a salad. I am staying in a hotel, so I asked the man behind the counter if he had given me a fork and he said yes. When I got to my hotel room, there was no fork and there also was no dressing for the salad. I will not be going back to this place.

Hardly authentic or edible. Basura!Tried it a second time as suggested ...nasty again! The fries are the worst part. I think they taste like OLD STALE MCDONALD'S fries foreal...

Great gyros, fresh ingredients and tasty meat. Quick service and friendly staff. Generous portions. Lots of options for menu items.

People are way too harsh on here. Lamb/beef gyro was solid. This is the 2nd best spot for gyros in Sonoma County.

I ordered the chicken souvlaki bowl, and then ordered it a second time with extra feta and yogurt. It is sooo good and enormous. However, I really feel this is missing some spicy element that would kick it up a notch. There is no option on delivery to request hot sauce. Please send some hot sauce! The hummus is ?

Very unprofessional staff, I ordered 3 plates on menu it should come with salad and fries. They didn’t give me the fries in 3 plates, refused to make up for it. They are no reason to order the plate. They gave you the same thing like bowel but in a box. They gave very little portions, they care about earnings not customers. They don’t care if you would come back or not. I don’t recommend ordering from the place, if you want order from uber at least you get your money back if something goes wrong

Based on previous visitors and other reviewers this place better step up on consistently and portions or it will be closed soon In This economy .. over 8 months and 20 plus visits it has consistently gone down in service, food taste, freshness, and portion size.. seems like they go through a lot of staff as well.. there are a lot more authentic Greek places in the area who are not a chain and do a lot better job… maybe if your reading this review you should try another place..

Nick the Greek is conveniently located at the Coddington Mall. I went to Nick for some food to go. The Beef/Lamb Gyro looked great and for $4 more you can make it a combo with a fries and a drink. The gyro was very tasty and the white sauce really was good. The only thing was the fries looked good but were cold. The service was friendly and the food was prepared quickly. Looking forward to trying the other restaurants in the mall.

The food I got has way too much sauce on it and only 7 fries on the itpita wrap. And for the froyo, I paid extra for the honey and baklava and I got a regular one. Disappointed.

We were very excited when this place first opened in our area and the food did not disappoint. Not until this last time. I am not sure what happened, maybe it was a slow Saturday and we went too late in the day, maybe something else happened. We love the Greek avgolemono soup, and are very familiar with how it is made and how it tastes.Someone decided to replace the original rice with pasta. The soup did not taste bad, but it was an adapted version. Why? I had the chicken plate with pita bread. The pita bread was at the bottom of the box, under the other ingredients. Almost missed it.The box also had some dry shredded chicken mixed with soggy, stale fries, a couple of tomato slices and a lettuce leaf.It was not appealing at all.The chicken plate with rice looked a little better, but the pita was still hidden from the sight. We might give it a try again, hoping this was just a one off experience.

I visited the Santa Rosa location on September 19, 2023 at 8:25pm. The restaurant was completely empty. There was one couple sitting at a table outside with food. I was greeted by a female employee who asked what I would like. I ordered my usual beef/lamb gyro and Greek fries combo. After I ordered, a customer walked up and picked up items that she forgot when she picked up her food. Other than that, nobody else was in the restaurant until I left. In other words, it was slow. After taking my order, the female chit chatted with the two male kitchen staff, both of whom appeared to be cleaning up for the night. One of the workers was scrubbing down two of the vertical rotisseries. He was spraying a chemical on them and then scrubbing them. Due to the backlighting of the exhaust hood area, it clearly showed the chemical he was using floating up and into the first rotisserie which was still roasting meat!! I watched as he continued to spray and clean for several minutes with chemicals drifting onto the roasting meat. The other male appeared to be bringing things to the back. I waited until finally I saw the kitchen staff attend to my order. I saw the staff member take a large aluminum bowl off the warmer on the far left of the kitchen and dump out some fries. I hoped I wasn't getting fries that had been sitting as they're always better fresh. After seven minutes, I finally got my food and left. When I got home (approximately 5 min drive), I found my fries to not be warm, but actually cold, limp, and stale. My gyro's fries were also cold. My entire meal cold and stale tasting. Normally a seven minute wait for food wouldn't bother me at all at a busy restaurant. But tonight I waited seven minutes while employees were more concerned about cleaning and shutting down 1.5 hours before posted closing time than to prepare a fresh order. And while focusing on cleaning, contaminating other food!I emailed ([email protected]) Nick the Greek that night regarding my experience using the only email I could find on their website. On September 25, 2023, I had not heard anything back on my email so I scoured their website and was able to locate a random phone number (408-780-4976). Apparently it was a cell phone for "Rob" an executive with the company. I explained my reason for calling. He said they "probably" received my email but to email it to him ([email protected]) to be safe. I emailed it to him and he confirmed he received it. On October 7, 2023, I still had not received a response regarding my visit so I emailed Rob again - no reply. On October 29, 2023, having still not received a response regarding my visit, I emailed Rob again letting him know I would make my observations public if I didn't hear back from someone. He never responded. So here you go Yelpers! Don't eat here unless you want to eat cross contaminated food! I have a feeling this is the least of the concern given the company doesn't even seemingly care about customer feedback like this! Don't believe me? Take a look at nickthegreek.com. Do you see anything soliciting customer feedback? Absolutely unacceptable and very abnormal.
