Best pollo a la brasa in Sonoma!
I’ve tried the ají de gallina, empanadas, ceviche, chicha morada, and the pollo a la brasa, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors are authentic, portions are generous, and the quality is always consistent. The service is also excellent, very kind, and welcoming!

Sadly a disappointing debut. The ambiance is completely lacking; the tables outside are unusable due to the flapping blow up chicken, the inside has harsh lighting and uncomfortable seating and bare walls. The food was exceptionally flavorful but everything was cold. Soggy fries accompanied room temperature smoked chicken. A delicious lamb shank was also barely heated and served on a bed of cool beans with a huge pile of raw onions. I sincerely wish these guys did better so they could make it but seems the food truck concept is a much more viable business for them. Also the food was extremely expensive for a casual spot: $50 for a roast chicken and $30 for a lamb shank. And we waited at an unstaffed counter for 8 minutes before someone came out from the back to seat us. Super awkward with two other couples watching us from their tables.

We ordered the chicken empanadas and the Lomo Saltado de Carne. The empanadas were hot, crispy, and packed with flavorful chicken filling. Each bite had a nice balance of seasoning and texture. They came with two sauces, one creamy and one spicy, both great for dipping.
The Lomo Saltado de Carne was the standout. Tender strips of beef were stir-fried with tomatoes, onions, and cilantro in a rich soy balsamic sauce. It was served with a generous portion of fries and white rice, making it a complete and filling meal. The flavor was bold, slightly salty, and very satisfying.
Great quality and flavors throughout. We’ll be back to try more from the menu.

Brought my family in for the first time, and everyone—especially our guests visiting from Peru—was genuinely impressed. The flavors were authentic, the presentation was beautiful, and the service warm and welcoming. It’s not easy to please native Peruvians when it comes to traditional food, but Passion on Montgomery truly delivered. A wonderful addition to Santa Rosa!

Highly recommend. Clean, bright, casual atmosphere with friendly service. We ordered the Empanadas, Lomo Saltado de Pollo, Papa a la Huancaina and Aji de Gallina. Every dish was excellent, perfectly cooked with delicious flavors. The portions were generous and well worth the price. We can’t wait to go back!

From the moment you step through the door, this cozy Peruvian gem wraps you in comforting aromas of ají amarillo and freshly toasted corn (cancha). Every plate feels lovingly crafted in someone’s abuela’s kitchen. Staff greet you like family, patiently guiding newcomers through the menu while topping off chicha morada with genuine smiles. I highly recommend this place for an authentic Peruvian experience.
