Outside light showing they were open was turned off. I mentioned it and then suddenly it was turned on. This was October 1st 2024 at 7:25 p.m. they close at 9:00 p.m. There were three young people that walked into the kitchen area and back out in the dining area. One girl kept dog eyeing me. Eventually a woman came out and waited on me. She was professional.This is the second time I've gone to this Phyllis's due to convenient location. I will never go there again. I actually felt unsafe when I walked in there. I didn't want to go back after the first time because I got attitude and dirty looks from the cook. There's clearly a problem with management at this location. Phyllis's big burgers in San Rafael and on highway 12 great!

The standard fry is crinkle cut and they were excellent. The ranch is thick and you will be too once you discover this place.

Weirdest sauce combo I’ve seen on a burger. The sauce was mustard and Mayo.. ok.. and I asked for medium but was given well done which by other reviews seems to be a common trend. The fries were good. The bun was so big I got more bread than meat. Which brings me to the case that the patty was to small for the bun. I’d expect a burger call giant burger to have big burgers.
We are there yesterday and really enjoyed the food and hospitality! Prices were very good!

I received the " minimal effort " Burger.The garlic Burger uses garlic out of a jar. Not homemade nor "restaurant made" garlic - Not impressed.The meet is maybe a quarter pound - Not big. Two leaves of lettuce.No onions that I remember.Good bread.Service? The waitress preferred to be on her phone behind the counter never locked up to my table to ask if I would like anything else.
