I’ve enjoyed Rosso Pizzeria several times in the past but hadn’t visited since the change of ownership. With Sonoma County Restaurant Week underway, I thought it was the perfect opportunity to return—and I’m so glad I did.
From the moment I arrived, I felt welcomed. I was a bit early, so I sat on the back patio on a lovely warm evening. It was peaceful and charming, with birds singing and frogs croaking in the nearby creek. I had the pleasure of meeting the new owner, Linda, who is absolutely delightful. I sipped a wonderful brut rosé and soaked in the atmosphere—it was a perfect start to the evening.
The Restaurant Week menu offered a nice variety of pizzas and other dishes. My friend is gluten-free, and they were more than happy to prepare her pizza with gluten-free crust. I decided to try one as well. I ordered the pesto pizza, expecting a simple preparation, but was pleasantly surprised to find it topped with a variety of fresh vegetables. The crust was exactly how I like it—thin, crispy, and full of flavor.
The salads we ordered were generous in portion and absolutely delicious. For dessert, the lemon panna cotta was perfection—light and refreshing with a bright, tart berry topping.
I would also like to mention our server, Adrian, who was delightful from start to finish. His suggestions were spot-on, and he was professional, friendly, and genuinely sincere throughout our meal.
It was a wonderful dining experience, and I look forward to returning again soon.

We live on the north Mendocino coast. Rosso’s is our favorite place to stop on our way to/from the Bay Area. Great food, wonderful staff.

Went there on a busy Saturday night. They were able to fit us in but in the end wish they hadn't. This places exists for the wait staff to get tips.
Waiting at the bar for our table, bar tender asks rudely what we wanted and when we said we are waiting for our table just turned his back to us.
Three pizzas we ordered had good crust but the toppings were not good.
Server was okay but kept on commenting on tipping? Then we saw they add an auto 3% auto-tip for the backroom staff which seems cheesy and weird.
Owners please pay your employees properly so they aren't so tip focused. It ruins our experience.

This is our first trip back since reopening. The space is much the same, the food was delicious! Our service was slow and the restaurant was not even busy. The price for a glass of wine seemed high. I will be back.

Tried the flatbread pizza, fig bruschetta, and salads—less than $40 with leftovers to take home. Great wines and a menu that makes it hard to choose. Can’t wait for our next visit

Wow. What a revival. Rosso is back and better than ever. The margarita pizza finally has enough basil to make it memorable. The chicken in Cindy’s pollo salad never was as tender or tasted so good. All else seemed as good as it was, if not better. They even added a great dessert—zeppoli.

Great local hot spot. We went back after it reopened and recommend the new take on a community favorite. The pizza (the crust..!), salads, and service remain excellent. We met Linda, one of the owners and she was wonderful. I am happy the power couple revived the local gem. We will be back!

The food was very expensive! The burrata appetizer was a joke of an appetizer! The beet salad worst salad I have ever had at a restaurant. The pizza was over cooked and flavorless! Don’t wast your money here.
