Something happened! Last several times during the past two years the food was always good. On Monday night, October 28th, 2025 the food was extremely disappointing. Wontons in soup were falling apart, and the broth was flavorless. Sweet and sour pork was like a sweet and sweet stew, and the pork coating was mush. The Staters combo was soggy.

there’s actually rats and roaches in the kitchen which is insane but the food is alright. it’s pretty expensive too.

Royal China Restaurant is one of our go-to spots for consistently great Chinese food. The food is always fresh, hot, and flavorful—and the quality never disappoints. Portions are generous without being overwhelming, and the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.

Got takeout tonight. Won Tons in soup were destroyed, maybe two intact. Eggplant was undercooked, prawns dry and tough.

Hands down the best Chinese food around. I love the basil chicken and hot and sour soup. Everything is amazing though you can't go wrong no matter what you order

We brought a group and 4 out of 5 loved the food. Our waiter was great_ just hard to get his attention when needed. I loved the atmosphere. Elegant but not too formal. Food portions were generous and came out hot.

Best Chinese food in Sonoma County

This place has amazing food. Taste was awesome. The service was great. I have not had great Chinese food like this for quite some time. Would highly recommend. I also enjoyed that the food was not over seasoned with soy sauce or other seasons so that you could really taste the flavor. Also had best ingredients such as the seasame chicken was only whole white meat. Not bits and pieces of chicken.

The Szechuan chicken is terrible here. One of the worst ones I have ever had. I would avoid any of the deep fried chicken options on their menu as they are very poorly done. Other options are not so bad.
