We are huge fans! Travel here from Florida every summer for a cold one and the Fish and Chips. (Serena Gibson, Sasha Torres, Mike Garrison)

Goose & Fern is one of those places I wished I was able to visit more often.

Don't let the fact that its a bar fool you, the food is delicious and I've brought my toddler here for early dinners multiple times.

This is one of my favorite places to get Fish and Chips. Fries appear to be handcut and the pieces of fish are large and the cod in the fish is plentiful and fresh tasting. They offer two types of sauce to pair with the fish a traditional tartar sauce and curry sauce. Both are good. The curry is light and on the sweeter side.

Ploughman's Platter - If you are looking for a cold plate with a good helping of cheese this is the dish for you. The chunks of cheddar and blue cheese are plentiful. Salad is well dressed and the pickled vege is plentiful and cuts the cheese very well.

Guinness Braised Beef - This small pie is mighty in its delivery. The beef is plentiful and flavorful. Sauce is on the saltier side.

One of the best desserts you will have is the Sticky Toffee Pudding at Goose & Fern. It takes 15 minutes to prepare. Comes out warm and moist with a caramel sauce on top. Highly recommend.

I had their Posset which was the first time I had it. It was Lemon with a Blackcurrent jam on top. Refreshing and cool, great dessert for the summer.

It was just OK. Nothing stellar. Cute spot off the beaten path. Service was good.

I loved it when it was the Toad in the Hole and I love it even more now. It is a Santa Rosa icon and always will be.

It was my first time there. It's a great place, I can't wait to try the menu. Next time, soon I hope. :)

The braised beef pie is transcendent. Sooo good! Excellent service. If you're hanging out in Santa Rosa treat yourself to a meat pie at The G&F.

A surprising find in Santa Rosa - the food was very nice and very Irish. Good selection of beer also. Check out the happy hour times. The braised beef and fish and chips were out favorite. An unusually cozy atmosphere given the location.

G&F has the best Irish pub grub around. I'd call it elevated, even. Super chill pub vibes to take things down a notch while you get sauced and chat with the locals.

A really nice pub with really great service and food. Fish and chips for the win.

Used to be The Toad in the Hole, which was a beloved local fixture. Under new ownership now, and literally everything is better. Best fish and chips in Sonoma County.

Great place with excellent pub grub. In fact, I’m not at all doing the quality justice by saying grub.

One of the best shepherds pie I’ve ever had. Side salad delicious and fresh with tasty light dressing.

Waitress super nice and on the spot
