I went there with a group of friends for trivia night and we had a great time. when I got there I was earlier than the rest and I told them that I would have about seven women joining me. The way you're seating me said no problem and sent me at a table and said when trivia started they would simply move another table over so we could all sit together. The stuff were very friendly and trivia night was a lot of fun. we will be going again.

Best British style pub in town, awesome fish and chips, sausage rolls, savory pies and burgers. The ploughman's platter is a personal favorite. Friendly attentive service at the bar, offering some great UK pours on draught including Guinness and Conniston ales. It's a fairly small, cozy establishment, and can get busy at peak times, so it's not a bad idea to go a little early or late.

We were in the mood for fish N chips and The Goose & Fern was at the top of the YELP list. We tried it today. A delightful, smiling and very pleasant young woman greeted us, brought our beverages and took our order. The wait time was incredibly slow. In most restaurants, a diner can tell if the wait staff is the problem or if the kitchen is the problem. The food, when it finally came, was delicious, hot and as expected. Again, the server brought us the condiments we requested quickly. These folks need help in the kitchen! Either the kitchen staff doesn't know how to multi-task or they are disorganized or, more likely, they are understaffed. 5 stars for the server and the food. The wait time drops you down a point.

I’ve eaten here once and I am looking forward to going back! Reminded me of the Mayflower Inn in San Rafael.I loved the chips but not the curry sauce (I’ll stick with the traditional malt vinegar).I had the Stickey Toffee Pudding (for the first time ever) and loved it!

I’m English and I know how fish and chips are made and this was not how. batter was to thick you might as well just stuffed the fish in a loaf of bread and fried it chips were hard and dried out not worth the 100.00 lunch experience very

the pub food was nice and the beer selection was more than adequate. The best part of me and my friends experience though, was the kindly gentlemen behind the counter! I believe he said his name was Ned (i'm not entirely sure though) but that guy with the glasses really made our day! We talked about poker and f1 racin ask ned about either
Been here a couple times now, always great service and even better food! The bartender, Nick, is so kind and attentive. Definitely will be back!

The fish and chips are a large plate and perfectly done. The beer selection rotates and the beer-tenders allow tastes. Finally, the atmosphere is true to an old style pub.

Best fish & chips! We were so impressed with the portion size and delicious battered fish. The beer was also yummy. The bread pudding had lovely flavors but was dead dry. More like lightly toasted seasoned bread with yummy apple and tiny bit of like a toffee sauce. It was almost really good but missed the mark with that bone dry bread. Really good service and easy parking.Vegetarian options: They offer salads and a curry veggie pie too.
