Enjoyed the neighborhood pub one evening. The fish and chips were excellent. Great for a casual evening out.

I don't usually write reviews unless a place is really special so here we go. From the outside The Toad in the Hole doesn't look like a real pub, unless you are delighted that Spoons has taken over a former Greggs. (If you don't get that comparison you need a trip across the pond to a declining post industrial city like Sheffield to help you understand.)However, inside this place looks right, smells right and sounds right, especially the Brummie behind the bar!And most importantly it tastes right. Good beer, cider and food. It's a pity they didn't have any curry sauce for my chips, (though the barman didn't rate it so maybe it's OK). I've eaten much worse fish and chips in my time and declared them really good. The Cornish pasty was also up to snuff. The beer bores in our group were happy with their bevvies and my cider was also good.Next time I'm in this neck of the woods (from South Carolina) I'll be back to try something different....and the curry sauce.

Bloody Brilliant! Service, ambiance, and owner were the highlights of an Authentic British Pub in the heart of Santa Rosa. Will make this a frequent stop any time I'm in town. Sheppard's Pie, Guinness Beef Pasty and Mash, and Fish and Chips were the highlight. Curry Chips deserve an honorable mention!

Delicious food and fantastic service, I felt right at home. The pasty was perfect, and the bartender Bella couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Big fan of this place and I'll definitely be back

Great Fish & Chips, Guinness on tap - what more could you ask?

Good effort to try and get some of the spirit of a British pub. Having been warned off the bangers and mash, I had the shepherd's pie. Good, could have used a richer gravy, but better than many. Fuller's London Pride tasted washed out and lifeless. Now that could be that I have lived in the US for more than 20 years and call a NW IPA my drink of choice or it could be that it doesn't travel or was not well kept.. I would have liked to try the pasty for this review but the menu described them as mini, which steered me away.

I love this place. I so enjoyed conversing with Paul, the owner. Its a great little place to grab a pint or three; and they are featuring live music more frequently these days too.

Spent the night in Santa Rosa and ended the night at this pub. Super friendly bartender :) It was just the place to unwind and have a drink. The Golden State Radical Guava cider was so good and the service was even better! Awesome place, hope to be back to try the food. Highly recommend!

My husband and I had some time to kill before our dinner reservation and went to this bar and were more than pleasantly surprised. Clyde, the bartender, welcomed us with open arms, we chatted and laughed like old friends and we can’t wait to go back for what Clyde describes as the best meat pies, sausage rolls and fish and chips anywhere!! ❤️ ? ? ? ? ❤️

I was truly sad to find out this place has been here for 15 years and I am just finding out about it. It is a great little English pub that is exactly like you would expect. The food was awesome and Ashley was a great bartender/server. I will go back!

Good atmosphere, good food, good service. Fish and Chips were pretty great. The King size comes with some pretty big hunks of fish and is easily sharable. Highly recommend switching out the regular chips with the garlic chips of you are a garlic fan. The King size is great if you want to split a meal too with a friend or partner. If you are into trying a places "specials", definitely look at the boards they have. The Peach Pastry was delicious and a great way to end the evening.
