Our tasting with Cathy was one of the highlights on our girls trip Sonoma! After doing a wine tour the day before, we went to downtown Santa Rosa for lunch, and then looked for a tasting room, instead of driving out to more vineyards. What a great last minute find! We had a tasting guided by Cathy, the Co-owner. She was inviting and extremely informative, teaching new tasting techniques that truly brought out all the subtleties of each offering. Her explanations of the wines' origins and a bit of her own story truly made the experience. Not to mention, Ciacco, the parrot welcomed us in with a greeting. A flight cancellation re-routed us to the area for a couple days over the holidays. We foolishly thought Trecini would be open on Christmas Day and showed up to the tasting room downtown. Kathy happened to be in the office, opened the door to respond to our inquiry, and then offered "well, you're here, do you want to try some wines?" "Uhm, yes! Are you sure?
