Trecini Cellars/Winery

A flight cancellation re-routed us to the area for a couple days over the holidays. We foolishly thought Trecini would be open on Christmas Day and showed up to the tasting room downtown. Kathy happened to be in the office, opened the door to respond to our inquiry, and then offered "well, you're here, do you want to try some wines?" "Uhm, yes! Are you sure? You weren't planning for tastings today though!"But she took us in anyway. Already feeling like an imposition, we expected maybe she'd let us try 4 or 5 wines and send us on our way. But she spent over 2 hours with us letting us sample 14+ wine varietals. What amazing hospitality and attention to the customer the likes of which, I had never previously experienced.We were so floored by the quality of the wine, that we bought 9 bottles to take with us (for reference, we typically by 1 or 2 when we enjoy a wine-tasting). We also loved our conversation with her. It's hard to decide which we enjoyed more - the phenomenal wines or the interaction with our host. Kathy has a warmth and wit about her that makes her immediately feel like an old friend. She was authentic and down-to-earth and so knowledgeable of the wines and their history. This ranks as my number 1 best wine-tasting experience. Ever.P.S. Her talking parrot made for the most fun and endearing assistant wine host!

very delicious wines and friendly winemaker. our son enjoyed playing with the pet dogs while we were having wine tasting. the zinfandel brut stole our hearts. highly recommend!

Kathleen was great. Her dogs were so friendly and we loved feeding them the crackers. The parrot loved the owner and she would talk every time Kathy said anything. What a fun time. We tried 12 different wines and got a good buzz going! I recommend this place to any light hearted groups looking to enjoy a great experience

We had a wonderful experience! Cathy is very knowledgeable and entertaining. I appreciated Cathy's priority of keeping the area sanitized and distributing sanitizer to each guest prior to the tasting. The tasting atmosphere was relaxed and fun! Trecini Prosecco was the best!

Cathi is a sweetheart. The $20 wine tasting consisted of 8 half glasses of wine. (The pours were very generous). Needless to say, it was a wonderful experience for all.

Knox met us at the door and Cathy was a treat.

Cathy was a fabulous host. She took us through an insightful wine tasting with thoughtful food pairings. Cathy addressed any questions we had about the fires and how it replenishes top soil for future crops. I loved the sauvignon blanc from Russian River and their Merlot. It was also the first winery where we had Merlot before Pinot Noir in the tasting order. I very much enjoyed the experience. Plus, they have a great selection which includes wines from Italy. Definitely worth a stop.

Fabulous. Cathy gave us an incredible tasting experience, pairing 10 wines with meats and cheeses, talking about the history of the vineyard and wines. Come flocking for a personalized wine tasting experience that feels like you've been welcomed into a home and has absolutely delicious wines. A plus: There's a buy a tasting get one free with a Visa Signature card. I would recommend making a reservation ahead of time, though Cathy accommodated our group of 4 graciously an hour before arrival.
