I purchased a gift card in April. Anyone know who I can contact to see about getting a refund? The abrupt closure didn't give me time to inquire and the phone is not being answered. Thanks in advance

As far as I know, The Villa is permanently closed, as of August 1st. This is from several people on the NextDoor app. I guess it's time had come. . .

We love taking family and friends from out of town here and also like to dine here ourselves for special occasions. We had family coming from out of state and made reservations to take them here this past Father’s Day. Unfortunately, our experience was unfavorable this visit. Although we had reservations for 6, it took a little time to be seated, even though most of the main dining area was surprisingly empty. We’re not sure why we weren’t seated in that main area, we felt like they wanted to seat us away from it. They sat us at a table in a large room way in back of the restaurant between the bar area and the outside dining area, which seemed like a storage area that didn’t have any decor, or ambiance, like the main room. We were the only party seated here for our entire stay. Servers and staff passed our table several times and it wasn’t until 20mins later someone finally acknowledged us. Unfortunately, it was begrudgingly as the server seemed reluctant to wait on our table. She said something to the effect, “I guess I’ll be waiting in you….” We are not a demanding group of people, we waited patiently and politely so her behavior and attitude towards us was unwarranted. She was rude and would slam down items on the table. I understand restaurants are understaffed and sensitive to that, however, it was not that busy, as much as it should have been for Father’s Day, nor did it warrant rudeness to us when we were being polite and not making unreasonable requests (we asked for a glass of water refill and she came back, slammed a pitcher of water on the able and walked away). What’s more upsetting is that my dad passed away in May and my sister, who was there with me, were going through his things and would be spreading his ashes later that week. I took us to this nice restaurant to celebrate my dad’s final Father’s Day with my family but the service that night was unacceptable and unprovoked, and left me embarrassed and upset. It was such an awful experience that I will not return.

Have been patronizing the Villa for over 40 years, but hadn't been back since moving out of the area a while back. Last week we we in the area and decided to have a nice Italian dinner at an old favorite place. Wow were we disappointed, the place turned into a dirty dump with horrible food. When I say dirty I mean, really dirty ! one health department inspection from being closed. all the leather seat booths we torn and original to the age of the building the men's room was scary dirty. I took a photo of our table under the tablecloth covered with moldy white duct tape that fairly represents the rest of the buildings condition. My wife ordered clams in white wine sauce and I the veal parmesan. The clam dish was okay but was nowhere near the quality we remembered. The veal parmesan was quite literally uneatable. Two thin slices of rubber veal covered with so much breading the dish looked like a skyscraper on the plate. It was so full I couldn't cut the veal w/o everything falling off the plate. I guess they figured if your cover the meat with enough bread and cheese you wouldn't taste it. The sauce tasted like it was from a can. The broccoli was so old it was yellow and the carrots were raw and cut so large it looked like a 10 year old made it. I tried to eat my food but just couldn't. We complained and the waitress spoke with her boss and the did take most of the price off my plate. After a complaint like I made we expected the manager , the chef or someone to make there way to our table and offer an apology or reason for serving such garbage, nothing !!! just silence. I should have listened to my gut when we drove up and looked at the outside of the unkept overgrown exterior and left. The restaurant was almost empty of customers and now I know why. We wont be going back until there is a huge remodel and ownership change.

The Villa is absolutely, positively, the most poorly kept, run-down restaurant I have ever seen in my entire 63 years on earth. The first thing that caught my eye when we pulled-up was the swarm of bees flying into a dilapidating part of the outside, housing what might be A/C or something like that. There was an old chair, a box, a wheel barrow and other junk just outside a side door in an area overgrown with weeds. In fact the landscaping is mostly weeds. With an occasional dying plant and a beer can thrown in for aesthetics. We opened the front door and as the light streamed in you could immediately see that the floor hadn't been washed in years. Everything is old, dirty and falling apart. Old leaks in the ceiling, patches in the ceiling, ripped up booth vinyl, saggy seating, stained popcorn ceiling near a vent in the bar, stained parquet floors in the bar, filthy baseboards, old dirty EVERYTHING. Absolutely everything here is beyond worn. My wife and I and my parents all felt creeped out by the place. Within minutes we decided to leave. There's just no way we were eating at this place. As we were walking out there was a old dirty plastic pitcher of what may have once been iced tea, placed on the back of a booth who-knows-how-long ago - disgusting. There is no way I'd put food in me from such a dirty, falling apart restaurant. If, for some reason you go here, keep your eyes open and look around. We were lucky to get here at 4:00 for happy hour when all the many flaws were easily visible. Night time might hide some of these horrors.

I used to really like this place pre-pandemic. They need to pay their employees more and otherwise incentivize people to work here. My friend and I were here for happy hour. No host, we sat ourselves at the bar. The bartender/waitress was cranky and flustered, I felt bad asking her for water refills. She honestly seemed miserable and I can't blame her - she was doing the work of 5 people in one. The drinks were small and weak, happy hour food was just okay but at least it was cheap. The view is pretty which is nice.

It's a shame this place has gone downhill. Used to be a fairly reliable restaurant. About par with the union hotel. Unfortunately it hasn't handled the pandemic well and seems to be struggling. Foods gone steadily downhill and so has some of the staffing. They seem like they're struggling every time we go there. Probably won't be going again. Maybe try it again in another year or two. Hope they pay that poor waitress that seems to be the only one who gives a darn well. Girl was jogging all over the place helping where she could. Felt bad for her. Clearly some drama going on there though amongst the staff since most of the other employees didn't seem to care in the slightest.

The food is great. Service is bad. Especially when eating in bar. There is about 12 tables we were sitting at 1of the tables and had to go up to the bar to order drinks and food. She didn't give us water or ask if we needed or wanted any thing else. Had to go up to bar for service. There were only 7 people in the bar area to service. I won't go back or refer this place to anyone.

Old place that need love and renovation, the top of the bar was mouldy, the staff they was unprepared and unprofessional to host us. Well food: appetiser 1 slice of tomato with a mozzarella cigliegino, some salad with some old dry carrot that I found a piece of wood of course nothing was seasoned!!!!!!!! Homemade focaccia bread old, not proof properly and over salty, well we start with the main course after a long waiting time arrived a disgusting mountain of s……….., - pasta al pomodoro: the pasta over cooked (almost a porridge) the tomato? Was almost invisible! And tasteless. - scaloppine al marsala: totally wrong dish with unnecessary ingredients like the breakfast bacon, a ton of flour, mushrooms. Side dishes boiled carrots and boiled broccoli of course no seasoning! - Well the dessert tiramisu (in Italian tiramisu means bring me up) honestly this tiramisu bring me down! At the end of the story we didn’t eat and we went to eat some pizza somewhere else.

My friend and I had a reservation for 6 pm at The Villa, on last Sunday, Mother's Day. We were seated within 15 minutes. Our waitress was very nice and was smiling. We both ordered fish. I asked for polenta instead of pasta. No polenta because of Mother's Day. Prices were very high. Salad and soup were an extra $5 each. We ordered a drink from the bar. My lemon drop was served in a very very small glass. It was $10. When the meal was served it looked delicious until you cut into the fish! Half of the fish was uncooked! When our waitress came we told her and she said the boss took too many reservations and there were 2 new cooks in the kitchen. She then asked the boss to take the fish off the bill, which he did. We will never go back to The Villa again. The owner is not a nice man and his prices are way too high and is ripping off good customers who have been going there for 40 years. Too bad!

Nobody at hostess station to greet guests finally someone came over after 15 min. Waited 45 min for food. Was awful couldn't eat it. Too bad. Used to be so good. Will not be returning or recommend

Service is very slow from the Host to server with no smiles at all. Take almost an hour to have room temperature food on the table. Only one good mountain view from dinning table that's why they should deserve one star from me. This is my first and also last time. I still gave 15% tips to her because today is Mother's Day. I always try to support local businesses. The Villa I am very disappointed.

Wow...what happened to this place. Went for Happy Hour yesterday between 7-8:30. There was no smile or greeting from the waitress...I had to say hello and thanked every time she brought our apps and drinks. So unhappy with job I guess. We ordered the fish & chips ( fries were all shiny from the grease) and we ordered the grilled prawns ( which were more of a large shrimp) but these were really good and grilled. I recommend using the restroom at home before heading to the Villa. The woman's bathroom was over flooded and then my husband needed to pee before leaving and they had it closed . Said they were working on it. Sad. We use to enjoy this spot.
