Our daughter who lives out of state ordered a cake for me to pick up. First there is nice parking right in front, outside cute tables to sit at, inside cute tables. People having coffee and baked items. They sell huge loaves of bread along with many baked cakes and fancy desserts. Great place. The cake was lemon with many layers and wonderful. It made our families special day more special.

We couldn’t have asked for a sweeter ending to our rehearsal dinner! The dessert spread was absolutely outstanding and left a lasting impression on all of our guests. Every bite was a perfect combination of flavor, presentation, and indulgence.
From the moment the mini lemon tarts and rich chocolate brownies were served, we knew we were in for a treat. The chocolate dipped macarons were delicate and flavorful. Each dessert felt thoughtfully curated and artfully made, fitting the occasion perfectly.
If you’re planning a special event and want to wow your guests, these desserts will absolutely do the trick. Sweet, sophisticated, and utterly memorable—just like the night itself.

Highly recommended!

Fantastic service and baked goods at Village Bakery! First of all the seeded sourdough is one of the best breads that I have ever tried so I highly reccomend that. Secondly, I was having a really rough day and Karen who was working the register was such a sweetheart and helped make my day so much better. The owner Pat was also extremely kind, generous, and hospitable too. Amazing bread, baked goods, and hospitality you cannot go wrong here. Thank you Village Bakery, I will be back! ❤️

neighborhood gem…perks up the stark multi use street with some much needed character…food is good, bread and pastry are good…could use some barrista and beverage help but solid addition to the area

A local business with friendly service and excellent fare, it's my favourite way to start the day.

I am so happy I found this bakery! They have the freshest sourdough! They are nice, very helpful. I only eat sourdough bread and I like it as fresh as possible. Last sunday I purchased a day old pastry-- So YUMMY! and I bought 2 loaves of sourdough bread. They handed it to me fresh out of the oven, still warm, soft, crunchy and delicious! It was hard not to dig in before I got home! I will definitely be back every few days to get some more of that yummy sourdough fresh out of the oven!

Love, love their seeded sourdough batard. I live in Silicon Valley but when visiting friends in the area, I always buy two loaves to bring home. Simply the best. Wish they have online presence to order online for local shipping within northern CA.

The carrot cake was one of the best I've ever had! Just the right amount of sweet, and was beautiful. I like that they don't include nuts for those who can't eat them. I would have given all 5 stars, but the cake wasn't ready when promised. They helped my wait with a cup of coffee though. Nice and friendly staff.

I have been going to village bakery since I was a child, I have seen them go from a local sebastapool bakery to a gentrified chain in live time as they continue to cater to the richer implant community in Sonoma county. They have gotten rid of some of their best pastries that their current staff seem to not even know exist despite promises that they would come back after covid. Now their bread. Again, I have been eating this bread for literal decades and have never had as many problems as I have this year. Despite being some of the best bread around their quality control has slipped massively over the last few months. The most recent loaf I got was all hole! No bread just hole. I get mistakes happen but for nearly 9 dollars a loaf maybe teach people how to knead sourdough? Overall I love this place but its a shell of what it once was and I tear up a bit when I remember their cherry and blueberry cream cheese danish I will never get to eat again.

Stopped in for a coffee and to grab some bread but ended up trying several croissants and they were amazing! Plus the bread and coffee were great. Went back almost everyday this week and it continued to be excellent. Great stop for bread, coffee and breakfast.
