The Warm Puppy is a cafe built into the lobby of the Redwood Empire Ice Arena. The arena and cafe were built by Charles Schulz. A museum dedicated to the author of Peanuts is across the street.

Could there be a cuter name? Honestly, I loved it for the name alone, but for a cafe style sandwich spot, this was surprisingly good. I haven’t had a tuna melt in 20 years but thought this one was really good (albeit too big) and with a nice Cesar salad for $15, a great deal. And we got to watch the entertaining ice skaters while we enjoyed our lunch. I would have given it 5 stars except the suggested tip was based on the total including tax. The food was ok, however why wasn't the cook wearing gloves while preparing it? Granted he was busy and worked hard to get everything out, but that doesn't mean he can't be sanitary.
