Willie Bird is a turkey lovers dream. We were in Sonoma for the wine & came across Willie Bird. Turkey drums & wings are a staple in my home. They make a tender well seasoned drumstick. The surrounding are pleasant & service along with prices are great.

I wanted to give Willy Bird another try for a sandwich. My first time in I didn't know the protocol to ordering a sandwich with grabbing the sheet of paper. I was belittled by the lady making the sandwiches. I thought maybe she was having a bad day. So I went back again with my wife and I ordered a sandwich again from the probably the rudest lady I've ever met. The sandwich I got you had to eat with in minutes time I got back to the car it was a soggy sponge. And to top it off there was a hair in it from the rude lady. She ruined the whole experience definitely won't be back.

Ordered two sandwiches and both were made incorrectly. I have no clue how you mess up an order when you have the ticket right in front of them, and, at eye height. A picture tells a thousand words. Stopped by to grab a couple sandwiches on our way to Bodega Bay. Lady's at the counter are not very welcoming, they speak to you while they have their backs turned to you and expect you to answer back. More worried about keeping a conversation going with their regulars. What a disappointment. Not worth the price. Didn't realize the order was massacred until I got to my destination.

Willie Bird ruined our family Thanksgiving. We ordered a turkey well in advance and requested delivery the Friday before Thanksgiving. On Friday we received an email saying the turkey wouldn't even be shipped until Monday. Then they sent it UPS ground. A perishable food item. By the time it arrived the day AFTER Thanksgiving our holiday was ruined and the turkey wasn't safe to eat. In response to our complaints they wouldn't refund our money but offered a replacement for Christmas and a gift basket. The turkey did arrive by Christmas but no gift basket. We emailed to let them know the gift basket never arrived. They didn't even bother to respond. Do not order from them unless you want to be disappointed. 2020 was bad enough. Thank you Willie Bird for making it even worse.

The photo for ordering the turkey drumsticks is very misleading. The photo shows 3 (three) drumsticks but I only received one. I called Willie Bird and the person who answered the phone admitted that the photo was misleading as the order is actually for 1 drumstick. Pretty expensive for one drumstick!

I'm so excited ! We always wanted to stop and try Willie Bird, but never had the time. The last time I cooked their turkey, it was so moist and delicious. So, here I am and I just placed my order. I ordered a 12-14 lb. bird and the turkey bacon. I'll have to update when it arrives on or before 11/18th. Online ordering was simple and I already received a text Confirming my order.

Stopped for a sandwich today. Just ok. Have stopped before and sandwich was good. Today roll was stale. Cheese had been sitting out for awhile-tasted off. Meat did not seem fresh. Maybe an off day?
It's a funky little store but their products are GREAT! I've had their whole turkeys for Thanksgiving, various kinds of their turkey sausage and just bought a 3-4 pound turkey breast that I'll be cooking tonight. Have to find lots of recipes for leftovers. Excellent service and flavorful turkeys for sure. Check them out!

Wow I just called the store by accident looking for the restaurant and the woman that answered was so angry with me. She yelled, this isn't the restaurant we have to stop what we are god dam doing to answer the dam phone put the number in your phone!" I was like taken back because I was just calling to place and order googled the restaurant and that's what came up. I dislike rude people especially ones your giving your money to! What a total j****

First and foremost if you love turkey products you will appreciate the family ran Willie Bird Turkeys. My favorites include the turkey bacon that offers a nitrate free version...it's vacuum packed for longevity in the refrigerator. Their bacon fries up well and I find it a great substitute for BLTs with minimal fat and easy to chew....In addition they offer the nitrate free bacon ends which are larger collection of bits with the subtle smoked flavor. I keep those in the freezer and use them often in soups, beans and other dishes. They have fresh and frozen turkey sausages as well as meat to order sliced or whole by the pound. The sandwiches are a great size for the money and the staff is always welcoming.....

The storefront is humble, actually dilapidated. The parking lot has bath tub deep potholes. Walk inside and you think, "this place has not been updated since 1935". But fear not, you are not going to catch salmonella, or any other case of the cooties. The glass display case has all the parts of turkeys that you love and desire. Maybe even some stuff that you are not expecting. Like: turkey chorizo sausage or house made turkey bacon both smoked and not. I recently bought a skinless Tom turkey breast. The s***** weighed 14 lbs! I paid $50 some odd bucks for it. I oven roasted it. Spiced it sparingly. It was one of the most flavorful and satisfying turkeys I've eaten in years. The freezer has more stuff it in if you are not going to cook a fresh one tonight. Everything from whole birds to bags of little wings. There's also a few ducks in there if you are feeling fancy. The place is thoroughly old school. Family owned. Worthy of your patronage. Get the goods here, 'cause they really are good. Maybe if more people would spend money here the family would repave the parking lot.
