Decent food, atmosphere and service but unreasonably high prices, hence poor value overall. Ultimately the manager did the right thing by deducting the $10 surcharge for an extra side of rice and bean (yes a $10 surcharge that the waitress did not mention) on top of the $44 price tag for basic chicken fajitas (yes that’s $54 total for fajitas, ladies and gentlemen!). As to the quality of the food… my wife did enjoy her cheese enchiladas with mole sauce and the fajitas were good even if the chicken was way overcooked and quite dry, but still flavorful, so not a bad dish. No really, the main issue here is value.

One of our favorite restaurants. Get here as soon as they open because it gets busy ream quick.
Loved the casual vibe and great Al pastor tacos plate.
A perfect ending to a perfect day in Santa Ynez valley. Great company, great conversation, stiff drinks (Substituted Mezcal for Tequila in our Margaritas) and stellar service. My brother and sister-in-law are strict vegetarians. When we realized their vegetarian tostada's came with Mexican rice cooked in chicken stock, our hostess Kaitlyn was personification of equanimity and professionalism. Without skipping a beat and with grace took away their plates and remade their orders . Remained attentive to our needs , no awkwardness. It is said that salsas make or break a Mexican restaurant. The salsas for me were too mild but Kaitlyn and the rest of the staff had stellar service, were very welcoming, and their spirit and warmth more than made up for the lack of fire in the salsas... Though my brother found the salsa fiery too. And the drive back as the sun set and drenched the Santa Rita hills in amber glow was a cherry on top of the already great mood thanks to. Kaitlyn and the staff at Dos Carlitos (and the stiff drinks). Thank you.
Second time to eat here because it’s so amazing! Way above average Mexican food and drinks.

Great service...great setting...that where it ends...salsa as spicy as ketchup...sorry..lackluster food and cocktails
They don’t list the prices on the kids meals. We ordered two for the kiddos. They charged $16 a piece for a small corn quesadilla and a small mound of rice. No drink included. Drinks were $5 a piece so we paid $42 for two kids meals and they were barely edible. The adult meals were better but not great.
Fun and interesting margaritas on menu
Incredible food quality. Even the chips and salsa was awesome, with cowboy caviar too. Very quick and attentive service
Absolutely delicious and fresh Mexican food and great drinks. We are NYers used to really good food and this place blew us away! And the service was excellent!
