Beautiful winery. Good wines, attentive and informative staff. Definitely should've in your list of wineries when visiting Santa Ynez valley

Horrible service. I ordered the wine tasting flight and the blond women serving would not come to our table to refill.. 20 mins past by I had to get up myself for my second tasting . I brought it up to her attention and said, " Hey you forgot about us" in a jokingly way because I didn't want to sound rude and she said " As you can see we are really busy " talking about being rude! Not even an apology and they were not busy otherwise I would've understood . I'm not one who starts arguments so got our refills at the bar and left . I was eyeing her and she keep refilling other guest glasses but not ours not sure if she was lazy to walk a few more Steps to our table but I've never had such terrible service. I wanted to sober up a bit with food or snack but saw no one eating so not sure if they provided anything to eat there. At that point I didn't bother asking if they did my guest and I just wanted to leave and spend our money at another winery . I give the property 5 starts because it was a gorgeous and spacious winery . Nevertheless I still recommend this place in the hopes you don't get the same awful service I received.

In my opinion. The best winery in the area

Jessica had a wealth of knowledge to share about wine and got our tastes spot on! Would love to take everyone I know here for wonderful views and wine tasting experience.

Great parklike setting. Visit with friends. Bring your own lunch or get something from the lunch truck. The wines are better than average. Pretty nice experience.

I don't get the hype - what am I missing? The scenery was nice. The wines were mid. The price was OK, however the pours were stingy and no bonus pours. You have to buy at least 3 bottles to get a single tasting comped. Our server robotically prattled off textbook tasting notes - my guess is that wine isn't even his beverage of choice. I love wineries where the workers are passionate about their product and the vibe is inviting and intimate. This experience was devoid of those things. It all felt so clinically transactional, which doesn't sit right in an area like SY Valley where everything appears to be so cozy and charming. The one other beef I had was that when I asked the server for waters, he brought them without informing us that they charge for them. There are also no prices for water listed on the menu. If you're going to have the audacity to charge for water at a winery, at least be up front and transparent about it before adding it to the bill!

My husband and I were just visiting Santa Ynez this pasta weekend. We stopped by the Sunstone Winery and are so happy that we did. Ian and Jonathan were super helpful. The wines were tasty and the location is just beautiful. It would have been nice to have had more food options but all in all we had a very nice afternoon. We highly recommend it.

We were so excited to come here based on many recommendations so our expectations were really high. To start, can't say that I enjoyed any of the sunstone exclusive wines. This was our third wine tasting in 3 days and the only one where we didn't buy a bottle afterward. Secondly, it took our server an hour and a half to pour us 5 wine samples! 90 minutes! It took us 2 minutes to drink the 2oz pour, then sit and wait for anther 18 minutes until our server figured out we could use another one. Not only were we dismayed by the pace, but multiple tables around us were also affected by the service. It got to the point where another server was pouring samples for us due to our complaints and empty glasses. In the end, i asked multiple people to get our check and close us out because we couldn't wait to get out of there. We didn't even taste all the wines on the list, we were dying to leave. *ps the charcuterie was $30 for a premade plastic packaged version with 2 cheeses and some meat with a small pack of crackers. Mid af, would not recommend.

We tried to visit Sunstone for a tasting. The host running the tastings was rude and dismissive, even ignoring us. There was a private event on at the time with a very rowdy group. We decided to leave after the private group spilled over into the public tasting area with a boombox and a man got into the ornamental fountain. Sunstone should get a grip on private events or close the vineyard to others when they run one. We never got the chance to taste any wine sadly.

My first time in Santa Yvnes wineries and it was so much fun. My partner and I were spending the weekend in Santa Barbara and thought it would be a great idea to drive up to the wineries (a quick 40 mins away from Santa Barbara) We had a private wine tasting event and the host was so great and funny! Though wine is not my favorite, I did enjoy the selection. We ended up staying a night at the sunstone villa with my friend and her family. The Villa was absolutely beautiful with a wonderful view of the sunstone winery.

Such a great experience for my first time wine tasting! This was a stop in our Solvang roadtrip for me and my close friend and after looking at the reviews and seeing the location versus other wineries nearby, we chose to visit Sunstone for a relaxing afternoon activity. Our host was great, knowledgeable on all the different wines and accommodating in his service! Santa Ynez is a beautiful place and this winery is a must stop destination.

Wine down your work week with a tasting from the picturesque Sunstone Winery in Solvang, CA. Two tasting menus ($25 and $40 for the Reserves) are offered, as well as wine by the glass. Pack your own picnic or purchase charcuterie (small and large box offered)/light bites (a few snacks to buy inside). Food trucks may make an appearance on weekends as well. Service was super friendly and very attentive. Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating (they even have a private cellar!). This place is huge!

Wonderful wine tasting experience! Loved all the wine we tried, if you buy 3 bottles, they waive the tasting fee. They even offered an extra glass of rose that’s not on the tasting menu. You can also purchase a charcuterie & cheese box from any of the wine counter ($30, not on their menu) and there’s a food truck towards the back serving burgers etc.. Wish they open more of their estate for people to walk around than just a courtyard with seats. At least when we went, we were not able to really see the French style building/land/decor.
