Good amount of food, friendly staff, and awesome breakfast
The food is great, the service is awesome. My family and I and friends from church eat there quite often, have gotten to know Christine (waitress) very well, she does a phenomenal job, very friendly, and has a great sense of humor. All the wait staff is great, I highly recommend it
Pretty good restaurant food came out amazingly fast and was very good. I had the meatloaf. Rated 4 stars because it took longer to get seated than any other part of the meal. As far as I could tell we were left up there with no host/hostess and not so much as a single acknowledgment from any of the staff for over ten minutes. I was actually ready to leave because of it but my wife wouldn't let me. Once we got seated everything else was great.
Always great food and great service. I stop here everytime I drive back to San Diego from Borrego Springs. Make sure to get cinnamon ice cream with your pie.
Great service and food. Reasonable prices and huge portions.
Cheeseburger was so-so, seasoning could be improved. Very nice staff.
The food was fair but not great. Service was good. But doubt I will be back. Sorry
Great service and food. When we got here it wasn't that busy but as soon as 4 PM hit, the crowd started pouring in. I think my only complaint was there was only one waiter so we didn't get a drink refill. Great lady though and cozy atmosphere.
The fried chicken isnt all that great. The chicken fajitas are. The piano is out of tune. The hot chocolate is amazing, pie is great! The only restaurant open Christmas day
We decided to try this restaurant since we were near Julian and Santa Ysabel. The main reason for trying this restaurant was that we did not want to deal with trying to find parking in Julian and the fact we have never eaten here before.

I've been in the food and beverage industry for over 25 years and a waiter/bartender for 22. My wife and I sat down before 3 other tables, as well as placed our simple 2 table meals. Yet we watched 3 other tables get served b4 us who came in after us. Then was told we got our meals put in after a big party which was bull*$#%, and that's why it's taking so long. The waitress could have apologized and cut us a discount, or something to make up for the super long wait, but all we got was cold food. I'll never go back.
Not bad service, food came out quickly. We had to ask for extra things and our drinks were never refilled. All in all a very average diner.
Very good food, excellent portions, very fair pricing and the natural pie was delicious. Only ding is that they are remodeling their bathrooms and we had to use porta-potties they positioned outside. That was the only unpleasant experience. Everything else was wonderful.
Food is good -- service is friendly and fast. The bison burger is consistently excellent & the chile relleno was tasty. Didn't order any pie -- already too full.
Food was okay...had the Bison burger...fries were typical steak fries. Prices were a on the high side for a burger and fries...$13.99. Service was good and the restaurant had plenty to chose from
