“I always stop here on my way to and from a weekend trip to Julian. I am NEVER disappointed. The service is top notch, even during a crowded Saturday morning breakfast rush. The food is always super fresh, delicious and cooked perfectly. The atmosphere feels fancy and yet at the same time is comfy casual, it would be hard to feel either under or overdressed here, how do that do that?
My favorite appetizer is the blackberry shrimp, I could eat these forever. Tomato basil soup is divine, especially if you pair it with the grown up grilled cheese on a wintery day. The crack Chicken tacos make a great lunch, especially if you like buffalo wings. And the steaks, well they make me a bit speechless....don't make me talk because I want to just eat this tender morsel!!
The breakfasts are cowboy big and super fresh. Maybe the chickens are in the back somewhere and have been trained to lay eggs on command, I don't know.
If you don't live in the area, (like me) Farmhouse 78 is worth the drive, trust me.“
