We accidentally stumbled on this spot by accident. However this was a pleasant surprise, the food was delicious and I don’t mean like it’s good delicious I mean it’s delicious ….delicious!!!I took a couple of my young friends over here and we all enjoyed our meals. I got the turkey sandwich which was big and tasty!Would go again and also the carrot cake was also a great addition to the end of our meal.Also the waitress which I forget her name was also very patient and kind.Thank you again for this wonderful food.

I am still dreaming of those mini muffins!! Food, ambience, service is phenomenal 1M/10 definitely going back multiple times!! Usually we just drive up to Julian for of course for but now Farmhouse 78 makes the drive even more worthwhile. I love it here, I cannot stop talking about it

Stopped by Don’s Market for a few things and my hubby asked if we wanted to go out for breakfast, can’t ever say no to that so we headed across the parking lot to Farmhouse 78. We missed breakfast by a little bit but I can’t say I’m disappointed because I ended up with the Hog Wild burger, and oh my! It was a hard choice, there were so many things I wanted to try but I’m glad I went for this!I wasn’t sure about the condiment being berry mostarda, BUT I’ll try anything and I sure am glad I did! This burger was shockingly good, cooked to a perfect medium rare and so flavorful! The slaw gave it a great crunch and the sweetness of the slaw and the mostarda was delicious. Perfectly toasted bun and easy to eat, I have no complaints about this sandwich!The onion rings were perfectly cooked, tender onion, crispy batter! I don’t like crunchy onions in onion rings, these were done just right.Stole some of my daughter’s fries, they were delicious! Perfectly seasoned and cooked, it was hard not to steal them all!My daughter and I had the strawberry lemonade, we both loved it. She’s a strawberry lemonade connoisseur and she raved about the muddled strawberries and the great flavor.The restaurant is cozy and warm, clean, nicely decorated and comfortable. The staff is attentive and kind. Shout out to our waitress Cindy, she was so friendly and engaging and she did a great job! I appreciate she took an extra minute to chat with us as we paid, she was very welcoming as was the owner, Cathy.My only regret is that we hasn’t come in sooner as locals!! We love good food and this place is the newest addition to our list of regular places to eat!Thanks for the great food and experience! Can’t wait to return and try more options!

Highly recommend. Go in you will not be disappointed. The back story - We were new to the area and were looking for home cooked type food so we looked online. It got good reviews and well they have a horrible menu presentation to the point we were going to drive to hero's restaurant. The online website shows on the go and to-go drinks and sandwiches. The clam chowder was Creamy and light consistency with no hint of fishy smell or taste which is one part of my clam rating. 5 out of 5. Nice napkins... says my wife. P.S. no Amex accepted here. Smart management We were pleasantly surprised that much of the food and soups are made from scratch. Friendly server Cyndie and others and clean everything.

First impression was not good because you walk in and smell the foul odor coming from the bathroom, a rotten sewer smell covered up with awful air freshener. we almost walked out but it was late and needed to eat. the food and service were good, however. If they fix the foul odor then it would be great. Hopefully the kitchen is not foul.

This was easily one of the best places ive been in a while. You walk in and the smell of fresh baked bread and burgers hits and omg. We got the burger(of course) and the crack chicken tacos and mint juliep lemonade and baked potato salad. Everything was so fresh and so good, I wanna give the chefs a little kiss in the forehead. Cindy was so helpful too, she can get a kiss as well. She also gave us some ginger muffins and I destroyed those in the car in the way home. And all that was only $30!!!!! Every time I come back to Julian I'm coming back here. 100000/10.
What a fabulous find. Everything was amazing. Best Rueben outside NYC. The salt and vinegar wings were perfectly done and perfectly flavored. And the salad was as yummy as it was pretty. We will come again next time we are passing through.

Stopped in for dinner a couple weeks ago on our way into Julian. We were promptly greeted by a super friendly and helpful staff. Was pleasantly surprised at how nice the space was too! Everything on the menu looked great too, but I settled on the hog wild burger which was a mix and wild boar and beef patty and it was so freaking good. I usually don't go for gamey types of meats but I was feeling adventurous, and I'm glad I did. The berry mostarda was unreal with it, and I can honestly say it was one of the best burgers I've had. My wife opted for the champagne chicken which she loved and I tried a bite of and can attest it was delicious too. I am looking forward to dining here again the next time we come up the mountain and trying other items on the menu! But would definitely recommend for anyone looking for a delicious meal.
