Pizza is always great but it's getting really old having to pay 5-6 dollars for a little extra sauce. My wife likes lots of sauce but I don't so we don't ask for heavy sauce . You would think when spending roughly 40 dollars on 1 Pizza they can give you a little extra sauce. She only eats 1.5 slices of pizza so it's not like I'm asking for a jar full.

Filippi's is a chain of Italian, 'Family-Style' restaurants in the San Diego & Southern CA area.
Everyone I talk to knows them for their delicious pizza - and I agree. Their pizza are cheesy. You don't need to order extra.
This visit was a first to the ElCajon restaurant. I sat in the bar and had great conversations with Norma. She made great drinks too.

I have been to Filippi's many times and the food is usually very good. Was there Tuesday for lunch with a friend. Got the lunch pizza, which I have had before. The crust was so overcooked that you couldn't even cut it with the knife. Very disappointing. I was on a time crunch, or I would have sent it back. The cheif should be more careful on how he is sending food out
