The food is superb. Everything we ordered tasted amazing and the portion sizes were huge. The service was kind of slow in the beginning but it was worth the wait. We were seated at the outside patio section and it was perfect.

Darla Cafe is one of the best Asian-Fusion brunch spots I’ve been to in the Bay Area. My favorite was Aina in SF if the OG foodies remember it. Darla may be my new favorite for Asian-fusion brunch.Their loco moco is a good find and one that I like outside of Hawaii. The matcha pancakes and French toast were made perfectly. Plating is impressive here. The drinks are solid— the yok lor coffee woke me up for the day. I can tell they took care and gave high attention to detail in crafting their menu and flavors here. The inside has a clean aesthetic look and there is outdoor patio seating perfect for the spring time. There is a family feel from the staff.Darla Cafe is near Hakone Gardens. Highly recommend a visit!Ordered:Loco Moco #1Darla’s French ToastRose berry lemonadeYok Lor coffeeMatcha pancakes

We came here on the Easter Sunday. It was horribly slow. I don't know if they were low on staff, but it took almost 45+ min from when we sat down to when we got our food. The softie egg Benedict was good as well as the loco moco with chicken karaage. Didn't like the French Toast. We didn't like the drinks at all. Left behind the whole cup of orange juice mixed with coffee, and the Gangnam Coffee.

Easter brunch, place was fairly busy,, one waiter for the whole front indoor area,so service was Very slow, took a long time to get our drinks and food and waiting for check took even longer! My Bloody Mary had a tomato that was not at all fresh in it,the Loco Moco I asked the waiter for no gravy and he put gravy on my plate, which just looking at it wasn't appealing to me and there was way too much tasteless rice and dry fried chicken

Can I obsess how good the food is. A moment. OK. We started having lunch around midday, check the hours it's only a brunch spot. We still had sufficient time to done comfortably.I ordered the darlas burger that is a single patty wagyu topped with bacon, onion and avocado. I inhaled it in. Surprised my table mates. Hehe. It came with a side of trouble potatoes very good. I reheated the later. One of the tables mates, gave me a piece of the specialty chicken. That was also good. You can't go wrong with the choices.

Really enjoyed this Asian inspired brunch menu. The food was delicious, lovely thick fresh bread and good quality eggs and bacon. They have a nice brunch cocktail menu too. Good service and we got a table right away despite not booking in advance. The furniture didn't quite match the vibe of the building and it would be lovely to see some nicer seating and maybe booths.

This is a perfect spot for foodies! There were a mix of folks on a date night and families, too. Nice open space and ambience. We were drawn by the options on their asian fusion menu. I started off with an old-fashioned with a bit of cinnamon… really good! Our teens, my husband, and I enjoyed all our dishes- bulgogi fries, spicy Brussels sprouts, scallops, hella crab spaghetti, and loco moco. The mango sticky rice was a great way to end the meal. The food was delicious and presented beautifully!Service was also super-friendly and attentive. I guess this spot is currently more known for their breakfast/brunch, so we’ll have to come back to check it out.

Situated at the corner along Big Basin Way in Saratoga downtown, Darla Cafe is rather big and roomy. It's dining room is one big room, straight forward looking without any hidden corners. On a Sunday night it was rather empty. We came for dinner, and there were plenty of reservation time slots on Yelp (not available to book on OpenTable). We were greeted warmly and the entire service was friendly and courteous. The menu has entree and small tapas plates, but we were rather disappointed at the tapas selections, but entrees have a few interesting items. I went with the Duck Confit Fruity Curry and it was good! The curry was not spicy but rather sweet, as elevated by the lychee and pienapples in the sauce. The plate came with one whole duck leg and roti bread was placed on the side of another plate. The bread was cut into small wedges, easier to eat without the mess. I cleaned up the whole plate! The other 2 items we tried were less impressive. The Fish Tacos were rather small in portion for $18. The Spaghetti Napolentana was basically a vegetarian spaghetti in tomato and mushroom sauce, but the tomato sauce did not taste fresh. For dessert, the most interesting Thai Tea Crepe Cake was out, so we had to go with Chocolate Lava Cake. It was just ok, there was no lava oozing out. So they earned 4 stars from me with the service and the duck curry.

I made reservations for dinner for to celebrate valentines with my gf. Our first time walking down Saratoga downtown and was able to find parking close by. We got there right at our reservation time and got seated right away. We decided to sit at the patio since my girlfriend thought it was cute. We got two appetizers and an entree to share. Lobster Pad Thai was delicious! Corn ribs was prettt good with the spicy aioli Bulgogi fries were good but it's pretty expensive and not as much meat as I would like. Overall I would come back for lunch!

This is a really cute, spacious, and modern restaurant in downtown Saratoga. There is a decent parking lot behind the restaurant and street parking nearby. Also have a very cute paddle area for you to bring your pup! We ordered the more popular menu items and the food came out pretty quick! However, service can be slow. They are known for their Thai Japanese fusion brunch and it's pretty decent. Everything was good, my least favorite was the bras they used for eggs Benedict. And my favorite was actually the salad lol.

We love Darla! It's a hidden gem in the neighborhood. Brunch is great and we just went for dinner. Food is so delicious! The only thing is that I wish service was a little faster, but everyone is so nice!!!

I was pleasantly surprised by Darla Cafe. My kids wanted to go somewhere new and I'm glad we did: their menu has a nice selection of Asian inspired and American breakfasts. I had the JK, jook with shrimp and mushrooms. My daughter had the special pancakes with Thai tea sauce which were really nice. My son had buttermilk pancakes with chocolate chips. The servings weren't super huge which was nice and the service was wonderful. It's a small restaurant so I'm sure it can fill up fast when busy, with a clean and stylish atmosphere. The patio was closed when we went but there's a nice tree out there adjacent to the bar. I would love to try it for dinner!

We popped into this cafe on a Saturday morning at about 10am to try it out. My husband and I were seated pretty quickly and had our orders taken promptly. The place was full with lots of people coming in. Minimalist ambiance but nice. After waiting for quite a long time (due to the popularity of the place) and starting to shift and give looks to the staff, we finally received our food after about 40 minutes. Unfortunately, my order was wrong. I had tried the special pancakes and they gave me pancakes with berry topping instead. It looked good too but I didn't want it. I had to wait a while longer while my husband was already finishing his food (he ordered the eggs Benedict and loved it!) to get the server's attention for the error. By the time my correct order was served to me, my husband was done and we only had a short time to return to pick up my son. The correct pancakes were great however they did not deem to make me a fresh egg so that was cold, as well as the extra sausage I ordered. Simply slid from one plate to the new plate (egg still had the berry sauce under it). Come on, how hard is it to remake one egg and heat the sausage? Although the food was good, we will probably not return. Felt a bit like we were forgotten and served unsatisfactorily.
